Is There Love Missing In Your Life As A Child?

Updated on January 23, 2014

What Do You See In This Picture?

Do you see a togetherness of love? Or do you see something here that you were missing as a child?

When a man and a woman fall in love and get married, they are on cloud nine so to speak. They are so much in love that in a few months or more go by, they decide to have a baby. Once the husband's wife finds out she is pregnant, she can't wait to tell her husband the good news. Then the happy couple go out shopping for baby stuff getting everything ready for the baby's arrival. Everything is fantastic, the baby's nursery is already decorated in the theme the couple chose to have for the baby/babies. Then that day comes and the baby is born. The couple are in their glory. They take the baby home, things go fine for a few days and maybe a few months. THEN WHAT HAPPENS? Well let’s see here.....A baby (infant) becomes a toddler, then a teenager and then finally an adult. But during that growing stage, have you ever been loved?

There are a lot of children today that have loving and caring parents. And then there are parents that abuse their children physically and/or mentally to the point that it can effect them for the rest of there lives. All it takes is one of the parents to abuse that child. When a child is never told that they are loved or felt that they are loved, it is very hard to express there love to others, especially when you are very young. As a child you look for that special love from your parents. And if you don't have that, you feel lost and abandon. You start to hate those that you should love and move towards other people for that love you are missing. Everyone needs love, without it, there comes hate, violence and can lead into other bad things which can put that child in prison for the rest of there life, physically and/or mentally. The bible states that Jesus Is Love. So as a parent showing the same love to a child just like Jesus did will be a blessing to all. This is mentioned in (Mark 10:13 - 16) where Mark talks about the little children receiving God's Kingdom. It states here:13) "People were bring little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them". 14) "When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, " Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these". 15)"I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it". 16) "And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them."

Children Need Love

When you were a child, the love you longed for was not there when you need it. You felt abandoned and rejected with no love by your parents, and if there was love they never showed it. When this happens, you start looking for love that you were missing and then you find out it is the wrong kind of love. However, DON'T GIVE UP HOPE. There is the right kind of love out there even if you don't get it from family and friends. There are people that do care and show their love towards you, unfortunately there is not enough of those people that care. However, when you feel like there is no hope always remember that Jesus is there for you and he will always love you. Jesus knows what you are going through and he has not forgotten you. You might feel like no one loves you, JUST DON'T GIVE UP When the time is right Jesus will find someone for you that will love you abundantly and He will pour blessings upon you to last forever!

Today there are so many children around the world that don't have love, food, clothing, and shelter. These are the treasures that children hold on to. These gifts you give that child will put a smile on that child's face. And not only will that child benefit from the love and care you give, but you will also benefit and be blessed by God in knowing that you gave the greatest gift ever and that is LOVE!

Matthew 7: 9, 10 - Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?....Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

1 John 3:1 - How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
