Letting Go Hurts So Bad

Updated on January 9, 2013

How do you let go of love when you really don't want to?

If I let go it will hurt me so.

Should I just let go?

Or should I stand and fight?

This is not what I want. Will you be happy?

Is it really what you want?

If you want to walk out, then leave!

But I just don't want this to be.

You told me that you loved me...

I just don't understand. We made so many plans.

Well I'll just sit here and pray

Pray for God to make a way

Maybe I'm not the one for you or you've grown and you've changed.

Was this just a temporary phase?

You can take all I had to give.

Maybe you needed it more than I did.

So there goes a love once so strong

We'll both find ways to move on

But our friendship was the base of everything

So which way do we go now? Do we just give up everything

No matter what, I love you still but It may take time to work on our friendship

because it's so hard to swallow this pill

This is one of the most difficult things we may experience in life. We all need and want to be loved. As the saying goes...it is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.
