My Blanket My Side Of The Bed

Updated on March 20, 2010

Come To Bed

I am thinking can you guide me through my thoughts

I have so much to share and so little time to finish

The night sets in and this day has also passed

When will the cycle be complete?

When can I finsih what I have started?

Why do I have to choose you or my writings?

You assist me and correct my mistakes

You patiently watch as I read lines from my pages of notes

I express the uncertainty of life

The blessings we constantly forget

The happiness we share

For if we do not live in are own space

How can we appreciate others who are finding there own plateau

Life feels so timeless and imaginary

Unknown circumstances invite themself in

Direction after direction we search to find control

The outcome is unconcievable at this time

Press on and try your luck

The instances that escape are reality will reoccur again

The things that change are lives the most

Are refused and rejeced at all cost

We are creatures of habit and rituals that make us safe

Take down the walls and let down your guard

The blank thoughts we think will turn into something special

Hold on to them  and nurture them to being

For all thoughts are connected and will be made into a collage of phenomenal progress

Bound to the chains for the choices we make that continue to haunt us

Look for reason and find fear

Look for life and find out why we came here

poetlorraine I am still waiting for you to correct my punctuation and be critical of my writings.I remember when you said where do you want me to begin. At the beginning. How am I suppose to get better unless I learn from better writers than myself. No one has time to help?It is a different world today.People like to critize but I thought criticism was good.Corrective positive criticism that helps me learn.I am older now and I can take it.I listen to your comments and I take them to heart. You have helped me grow spiritually and mentally and I thank you for that.

Darlene Sabella I find change the hardest.I want to play it safe. Then when change takes place I learn so much.I would never voluntarily taken that step ever.I was some how pushed by others or forces beyond my control.I laugh out loud often and I want to keep laughing till my sides ache!

Oh Bravo, I love the ending so much, fear, or life, what a choice, it's like a hot fudge sunday, when your on a diet. I must tell you you make me laugh on your comment to me. I really laughed hard. Okay, your poem is awesome, but sad if you don't see or choose right. So many things can change our course of direction.
