No Sound, No Voice

Updated on April 26, 2011

As I think of all the woman once in my shoe

Some men as well who haven’t got a clue

Who’s hearts pound with hatred and disgust

No voice, No sound, No need to fuss

Victims of abuse, domestic violence

Leaving us to utter and cry in silence

Broken hearts Shattered dreams now discuss

No voice, No Sound, No need to fuss

Fragments of possibilities of what could be

Wounded souls left in a zone as a detainee

Weeping elements on a plane of mistrust

No voice, No sound, No need to fuss

A sense of all and everything lost

Sensation at fingertips in time exhaust

Mentally injured, how do we adjust?

No sound, No voice, No need to fuss

Mourning from the inside pouring out

Leaving open doors for one to doubt

No relevance exists within just

No voice, No sound, Ne need to fuss

Needless to say,men can think nothing of neglect and torture as a simple competitive reflex and,it seems, women are all the more aclamated to the word respect being replaced by noble sacrifice.;)

Sad, beautiful poem. Time heals all wounds as you focus on caring about yourself enough to begin a new life that lifts you up for the tortured memories of yesterday.

Pam, Time does heal all. Some TLC as well. I never thought I would come to a place where I would feel so at ease but I have arrived and it feels wonderful to know that I never have to experience that again! Thanks Pam I really do hope that I am able to reach out to woman who do need a helping hand!!

Bella, this is one of my faves of your powerful messages in prose! The mental pain is far longer lasting than the physical and the most difficult to heal the wounds! Break the silence!!

Very profound. This poem speaks to so many. Overtly you can see it in the lines about victims of abuse. The other message is one that can speak to those who cannot seem to escape the covert abuse of being misused and left feeling like a thing rather than a person - one who is only counted for what she can give and not who she is as if she would have no value.

      God bless you

Lady, thank you I am happy you enjoyed the read and received the message behind it. Many woman go unheard and carry no voice to their grave.

coffee, Woman men and children are misused in this world. Afraid to speak and receive a wrath of an abusers hand is far most the scariest thing. Looking into life with no windows of opportunities is also no fun. Thank you for visiting!!

      smiles :)

You paint a powerful picture of the feelings experienced by victims. I commend not only this wonderful poem but even more so the courage it takes to overcome abuse and find your voice. May you long be a shining example to us all.

Poetvix, you are truly an angel really. Courage it does take to express oneself with strength when all you feel is weakness. But my only true goal is to touch maybe one or two hearts of a domestic abuse victim.

      smiles :)
