Not Okay

Updated on January 21, 2020
I was feeling a bit down lately.
I was feeling a bit down lately.

It's a change
From my comfort stage.
It's all one in pain,
never to feel ashamed.

How threatening,
from the man in the streets.
Although he's now extinct,
never shall I be made a stink.

I shall show-off.
Shining until the sun grows-off,
feelings of joy shall I cough.
For all shall be great and golf.

I am free.
Not again will I say I kneel,
especially to that itch in the streets.
For the feeling of perfection awaits me.

Smiling as I sleep,
even in my dreams
is a sweet an' tall hill,
Inside it, star sleeps.

It all sprints with a drift
aloof it might make you seem
but trust that it's worth it
Especially when you sleep in the success.

I can say this
not because I felt shame
but because still, I stood as I embraced disgrace
And made of it my grace and fame.

How do you think depression can be stopped?

I did a Hub for you. Didn't you see it? Up to you, of course, but it's there, just in case. Probably about the fourth or fifth one down now.

      Beautiful poetry, my Friend.

Stopping depression? If there's still a will to relate to the Source, then that will help. When one is already in a 'sink' it can be difficult to rise. Soulful support, dealing with the reactive factors such as stress, bereavement, personality clashes, chemicals, etc are recommended.

Endogenous depression is harder, as the cause is not so straightforward. Assuming that the individual is able to pray or meditate, then that would help. Some regular daily activity or exercise is good. Nutritional defficiences, usually the trace elements such as zinc, manganese, selenium or magnesium, should be corrected.

A reliance on Grace and an acceptance of whatever comes as God's Mercy can work wonders.
