Now He Is Just A Poor Man

Updated on October 21, 2011

Now He Is Just A Poor Man

He was a great man of God but one day He stumbled and fell,

Now if he doesn't repent shortly his soul is destined for Hell.

There's not much time left for him though he doesn't know it yet.

He's forsaken God and all His Laws and says he has no regret.

All the the love that was once in his life,he has cast it all away.

And when his time comes to die ,he will have no time to pray.

He has turned his back on God and on all things good and true.

Although he's a rich man today, what good will all that money do?

He is a poor man in every sense that matters to our God at all,

For we know he lost sense of dignity when he took his mighty fall.

He had love and a family that he had loved with all of his heart,

But he kept reaching for something better, he wanted a new start..

He has the new start that he wanted but now he has it all alone

His family finally left him ,his new life they could not condone..

Now all he has is wealth and fame and he will do what ever he can.

Godless he can't get to Heaven, with his gold he's a poor ,poor man.!

I have no idea why I wrote this, it was written quite a few

years ago and I presume it was about someone that I

knew at the time, One thing, you don't bring anything in

this world and you don't take anything out of it .God

will have a record of those that we have helped on

to their way to find Jesus, We don't want to get to

Heaven and have no good works in God's Book

of Life. Time is short to accomplish what God

has laid on your heart to do for Him, We must

hurry !

      Hello Ann,

Yes. I remember that song, George Beverly Shae first sang it on Billy Grahams Crusades . I always loved that song and no one could sing it like he did. If you have Jesus you have everything and if you don't in the end you have nothing.Thank you for your comment, always glad to hear from you .Clara

Hello Miss Clara. You told a story so familiar. It made me remember a song I heard as a little girl. "I'd Rather Have Jesus." Remember the lyrics? Than to be the king of a vast domain, and to be in sins great sway, I'd rather have Jesus than anything, this world affords today.

      Kiss and Tales,

Some people think that money buys anything.Money can't buy happiness and it can't buy Salvation, Jesus paid the price on the Cross for us at Calvery. and it is still free.If money was all it takes all of the rich people would be happy , the happiest people are the ones who have Jesus in their heart. Thanks for your comment. Love, Clara
