One Year With Froggy213
One year with Froggy213 is about an anniversary of vows. It is about 365 days of sharing with each other as husband and wife. As a wife, I will share my perspective and Froggy213 will share his perspective of this year.
We have written hubs about our love story. We decided to share our anniversary since we met by Internet; and by him sharing his hubs in Stumble Upon everything between us began. We also have gained wonderful Internet friends that have been giving support to the relation with unconditional love.
We are not the same man and woman we met; we know that we have changed and those who know me well have noticed it. For good or for bad, it is not questionable for me. Many things evolved in God's creation by happenings from the environment.
Greg (Froggy213) came into my environment here in Puerto Rico with a different culture which I thought in a moment that this anniversary would have been impossible. In addition, changes in my mind, heart, and acts made me see from a different perspective.
Have you experienced that knowing something, you realize that you have a different view, gained acknowledgment or it made you turn your path? That is exactly what happened to us during this year that passed by so fast. Give yourself and others opportunities and be open to changes.

Taking less for granted
My first lesson this year from the 28th of July 2011 to the 28th of July 2012, was that I used to take many things for granted. Adrien Brody (Protagonist in The Pianist 2002) quoted my lesson very well:
"It made me have a much greater understanding of loss, of loneliness, and the level of intense tragedy that so many people have experienced in this world, I take a lot less for granted. "
A man is head of a woman
How difficult it is to have a head when you are used to making your own decisions. The difference is that we are not called to slavery...none of us!The secret strives in what is written in Ephesians 5:21:
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God .
The personal relation each have with God is what makes possible that The Word of God comes alive. But, at the same time I suggest men, as well as, women; to ask God for a heart of a widow, before you become one. If you don't become a widow or stay by yourself...well great!
Everybody needs to learn to be independent. Don't rely on your spouse for everything.
Responsibility of decisions
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven ." Matthew 16:19
Froggy213 came into my life after his wife passed away, having with her three grown up children. In my first marriage, I also had three lovely children. We separated in 1992, where there was no u turn since he died in 2004. I understand that we learned what love was by the couple that gave us the honor of being parents. Our previous experiences, definitely, made us sensible to each other.
Why not join our lives? Nobody was there...we were alone; separated by an ocean. Our grown up kids were living their own love stories.
We decided to bind here on earth our lives, knowing that our families have a place in our hearts and that "yours, mine and ours " was going to be a full time responsibility where we will have to balance each decision, but with God everything is just so different. It is not that we have a magical wand; it is that faith and true love will help during the journey.
I am a treasure
Being a wife does not mean being an opponent.
Being a wife means trying the best to be an everything:
- best friend,
- best coworker,
- best encourager,
- best one to be silent when it needs to be;
Proverbs 18:22 says:
"The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD."

Do you celebrate your anniversary?
This is my handsome husband's perspective:
- One Year With Lastheart
Two hubbers who came together as one via the internet. It has now been one year of marriage and this hub is Froggy213's side of one year of marriage. See the romance and the life of two deeply devoted people who found and love each other.
When you love God and know that He will work according to His will, even when understanding of happenings does not come to our wisdom...we stay still and know that God is God. We are still growing and being challenged by many factors, but that is exactly what life is about. When we fall we stand up and keep walking.
Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
Thanks Greg Boudonck (Froggy213) for your patience toward me because of your love and commitment to God. Let's keep focus on God's path; this is a journey that we do not know what will come but "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
