Only Time Can Tell

To be in love,
Is a heart's desire.
Feelings of lust and perfection,
An inward burning fire.

To truly love,
Is an act of it's own.
Some will never experience,
This territory unknown.

Falling in love,
Is following the heart.
No reality in mind,
That's how it'll start.

To grow in love,
Is the truth-telling task.
Reality sets in,
No more rose colored mask.

To stick out the hard times,
Is a true love's tale.
But when it's not pure,
All else will fail.

To distinguish between the two,
Is like breaking a spell...
Humanly impossible,
Only time can really tell.

Isn't being "in love" just an infatuation that easily fades? The true love that grows with each other is far better. That love with God first and at the center will stand.
