PMS (Pucking Men Syndrome)--What Men and Women Need To Know

Updated on July 20, 2012

About

When I was regularly posting on Facebook, many of my male friends often complained about their significant other and PMS. After hearing their significant other's side of the story, I came up with PMS (Pucking Men Syndrome).

I hope this gives you some insight and at the same time a chuckle.

Thank-you for taking the time to read this Hub!!!

Intro

PMS(Pucking Men Syndrome) is a very serious condition that has been affecting men and women since the dawn of time and can strike without warning.

Unfortunately, there is no known cure. However, learn the signs/symptoms, possible causes, and possible ways of lessening the effects.

Note that new symptoms and possible causes are discovered each day, this article may be updated in the future.

Symptoms, Possible Causes, and Possible Ways to Lessen the Effects

The Symptoms can vary and can affect each person in a different way. Here are a few well known symptoms and tell tales signs to beware of before an onset of the condition, as well as the Possible Causes, and Possible Ways of Lessening the Effects.

*Note results will vary.

Stage One:

  • Narrowed Eyes: This is the least serious. There is still hope.
  • Silence: This can be considered as a warning before an onset.
  • Says "Nothing's wrong": When asked what's wrong, head jerks in unusual ways.
  • Speaking in Tongues: Ranting and Raving; sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher.
  • Angrily Cleaning: This is the early transition into Stage Two.

Possible Causes:

Note that PMS affects each person in different ways. Possible causes for Stage One can include but not limited to:

  • Leaving the toilet seat up or down with a sprinkle of tinkle.
  • Not noticing a new look such as a haircut, new clothing, etc.
  • Not acknowledging a change in the house, such as furniture moved or house cleaned.
  • Forgetting an obscure anniversary such as first time eyes met.
  • Not taking mud ridden shoes off then walking on freshly cleaned floor.

Possible Ways of Lessening the Effects:

If the afflicted shows any of the signs of Stage One PMS, examine surroundings and check for any changes. If changes are noticed, be sure to comment in a positive way.

If the symptoms still exist, check the calendar and mention something like "Do you know what today is?" If symptoms seem worsen to be be sure to check for any messes that muddy shoes left behind or anything else that caused a mess and clean it up.

If symptoms lesson pat yourself on the back knowing Stage Two was avoided.

Stage Two:

  • Slamming items around: This can also cause broken dishes, beware.
  • Red Narrowed Eyes: This is more serious than stage one. Hope may not be possible.
  • Fists Clenched and Pumped: A storm is brewing, medical bills may be involved, and/or holes in the walls can appear without warning.
  • Holding a Frying Pan or Other Blunt Object Without Reason: No one holds a frying pan without reason. Watch out!!! Medical bills will be involved, make sure insurance is up-to-date.
  • Laughing or Smiling While Appearing to be in Thought: This is the early transition of Stage 3. There is a plan brewing and it doesn't look good.

Possible Causes:

Note that PMS affects each person in different ways. Possible causes for Stage Two can include but not limited to:

  • All of the Possible Causes listed in Stage One.
  • Caught flirting or staring at another person.
  • Forgetting a real Anniversary or holiday such as Valentine's Day.
  • Changing the channel on a TV without consulting first.
  • Constantly not helping with chores and at the same time making messes.
  • Not sharing feelings or not spending enough time in the relationship.

Possible Ways of Lessening the Effects:

If the afflicted shows any of the signs of Stage Two PMS, follow all Stage One's possible ways of lessening the effects. If the PMS worsens, immediately compliment the afflicted, discuss feelings and emotions, show interest, become a slave by doing all of the housework, and/or buy a nice gift.

If the symptoms lessens, take a deep breath and be thankful the symptoms didn't reach Stage Three. If symptoms appear to worsen, WATCH OUT!!!

Source

Stage Three:

  • Speaking in Tongues: Now sound's like Death Metal Music.
  • Laughing or Smiling: Now Maniacal accompanied by Heavy Breathing.
  • Head May Appear to Spin Around: Head and other body parts twitch and move in ways unknown to humankind.

The afflicted person may appear to look like the picture on the right.

Possible Causes:

Note that PMS affects each person in different ways. Possible causes for Stage Three can include but not limited to:

  • All of the causes listed in Stage One.
  • All of the causes listed in Stage Two.
  • Not discovering possible ways of lessening Stage One and Stage Two symptoms.
  • Arguing and not Agreeing with the afflicted.
  • Not realizing that no matter what, you are always wrong and the afflicted is always right.

Possible Ways of Lessening the Effects:

Sadly this is the last stage, there is no known cure, and therefore no hope. This may be the time to run!!!

This is hilarious! I might add 'pursed lips' to stage one symptoms, and 'tutting' to stage two. I'll have to send this to my boyfriend to read as well - there may be hope for him yet.
