Please Watch Your Mouth
There is a Japanese proverb that says: "The tongue may be only 3 inches long but it can kill a man 6 feet tall."
Beware. Words are things and they leave a residue of positivity or negativity on the person and your surrounding. Wrong speech causes the break up of relationships, Lies result in loss of trust in one another and gossip only brings about friction in relationships. Watch Your Mouth.
We are all familiar with the saying: " Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." If more people recited this before acting or speaking, then there would be more harmonious, peaceful and happy relationships.
Every human being has dignity and needs to be treated with the utmost respect . Don't discriminate based on a person's color, class gender or language. Be mindful to others sensitivities and avoid unnecessary confrontations.
You are entitled to your opinions but many people today tend to argue rather than debate. They tend to just babble and not be considerate to others side of the situation. Arguing is a no-win situation and it can negatively affect relations.
Don't be overcome by emotions even though it is in our nature as humans to sometimes act without thinking. Remember, PAUSE and interpret the situation. With this process, the outcome is that of positivity because you have taken time to consider what could you gain out of such a situation. And what comes out of your speech and actions is a response; it's calculated, thoughtful and enables the person to understand your disposition. As a result conflict is avoided.
