Run And Don't Look Back.

"Run and dont look back.

©-MFB III

When love withers
and no nurturing can
allow regrowth.

When evenings are
completly spent
before night even falls.

When snoring replaces
pillow talk
and a warm bath
starts to look really good.

When the televion
takes priority
and interruptions
of any show
draws wrath.

When small mistakes
became monumental,
when kisses are
a tight lipped
turning away too soon,
when all approaches
are detoured,
when sighs are
like a voice choir
in the rafters of your house,
when panties are just laundry,
when "I love you's"
are spoken and the silence
remains unbroken,
when tears are dried up
and no more can be coaxed,
when your heart
is a raisin
in the glare of
his or her
heated glances ,
when sex becomes only
the first part
of sex-tuplets,
and seven has been
four for far too long,
and not ever long enough,
when hard means attitude,
and cuddling is some
time with your puppy,
when kind words are only heard
on the telephone
directe to someone else,
when loneliness sits on you
and the wieght of it
crushes all hope,
when you ask, plead
beg, curse
rant and scream
yet the stone face of the
latest edition
to Mt. Rushmore
simply gazes into space.
When you realize it
has evaporated like
the perfume she used
to wear for you.
When life is one long
dreary event that rears
it's ugly head daily....
Run ...beat feet....
hit the bricks
give it up...take only
what you can carry
and don't look back.
No documentation of
love's death
no long sad goodbyes
love leaves just as harshly,
and those that stay around
get ground up in the
details of why??
Run ...don't ponder
get as far away as you can,
start over,
start anew,
it never happened.
She/he never was
there's a whole world
of people who ran
out there
looking for someone to run with,

believe me you won't be alone for long.

I hope so -- in reference to your last line. Hey, I love your type of poetry!

      I love this poem.

It is true, when love has gone, it is time to move on. No amount of coaxing, begging, pleading will return the warmth of a lovers gaze.

      Namaste my friend.
