Signs of toxic acquaintances and friends

  1. Jealousy
  2. Delight in your failures or bad luck
  3. Constant cut downs
  4. Giving hints that you don’t deserve love or success
  5. Mean spirited
  6. Constantly competing with every goal /achievement you have obtained or pursue.

If you have ever experienced this on a continuous basis; you need to evaluate your associates. If you constantly find yourself defending yourself against casual “put-downs” or negative characteristics of your well being force fed to you sounds like you should lose the jerk. Man or woman; you have a right to feel good about yourself and be around others who appreciate you while cheering for your every goal of achievement.

No need to launch into defense more, just smile and delete their existence. Please be clear; you don’t need to spend any amount of time defending yourself; just eliminate their presence from your life.

Ask yourself the following questions:

Does this person attempt to make me feel bad about myself?

Does this person wish good things for me?

Does this person encourage my dreams or desires?

Is this person trying to help or harm me?

Does this person share similar goals, values, and morals?

Do I feel bad about myself when I spend time with this person?

What benefit is this friendship/interaction?

Life is too short to be around people who try and make their issues of inferiority your problem.

Life is too short to be around people who are insecure or disingenuous in their interaction.

Basics 101, your time is precious and people don’t deserve you or your time if they are attempting to hurt you.
