Someone You Chance To Meet

Updated on October 8, 2011

Someone You Chance To Meet

It's strange how sometimes things happen,

Maybe it's just someone you chance to meet.

You feel like you've known them forever,

And they seem to make your life complete.

It really doesn't seem to matter, the gender,

For it's really a love so innocent and pure.

They fill a vacancy someplace in your life.

Just another gift from Our Father,I'm sure.

Perhaps you had a need you didn't realize,

But our Loving Father knew it all along.

Maybe you just needed a wise confidante

In your world that had grown so wrong.

However it happens,whatever the reason,

You know, with God ,that it is right and true.

For you know when you are God's Child

That He will want whatever is best for you ..

Sometimes you may meet someone different,

Then take your departure and don't do it slow

You'll know deep down inside your heart

they're not from the God that you know.

So just hurry along as fast as you can

God shows you this is not for you at all.

God doesn't wish for us heartache or pain,

He will show us what could make us fall!

I was going through my poems last night

and I found this one that I had written some

years back , to be exact , 4/3/2000. I thought

I would put it on here ,probably due to the fact

that my Granddaughter was in Georgia and a

car passed her and then turned around and .

came back He stopped and asked her if she

wanted a ride . She just kept right on walking.

she was telling some people on Face book ,

I don't think she would even think about it

anymore. She wasn't sure if she had done

the right thing. Don't ever get in a strangers

car no  matter how nice he or she may seem.

to be , Sometimes you cannot trust people

that you know anymore..I wrote a poem

some years back, "The Devil Wears A

Friendly Face", I guess in this day and

age we should all remember that . It's

better to be rude than dead!!

Thank God your Granddaughter had the knowledge and insight not to get in for that ride. It might have very well been her last ride! It must have been Grandma's prayers for her that saved her. Love, Tessie

HattieMattieMae, Thank you for following me I guess you can't get too many people to follow.

I guess so many believe anymore that Satan has so many things to offer and God doesn't . The devil can't give Peace only The Lord can.The devil offers Hell but why would anyone want that place? Thank you ,hope you keep reading .

The devil is in just about everyplace anymore. Some of my poems have been written quite a few years but now I feel like I have to get them out as much as I can. So many people are not interested in God anymore and they won't even read what I have written. thank you for your comment

Yes he does wear a lovely face with deception and lies. If we were just more aware of how danger lurks everywhere. :(
