Stalkers, The Obsessed

Updated on June 4, 2013

Here is some actions you can take if you are being stalked,Please remember to be extremely careful when you have a stalker. Your safety is the most important factor.

Everyday someone is being stalked. Everyday someone new starts stalking. This can be terrifing. Most People have no idea what to do if you have a stalker. There are things you can do to protect yourself.

Get an order of protection, I know to you it sounds like a piece of paper , trust me as we speak. I learned about stalking first hand. I'm living it.

Write everything down. This may come in handy. Write everytime your stalker drives by,What day and times etc.

Get to know your neighbors, they see more than people know.

Think about getting a large dog.

Security companies now not only monitor your home, you can actually see inside your house when you aren't home. Simply on your cell. They can turn the lights on now too. They also give you a button in case you need help .

Then you just push that, they will call someone out to you right off!

Try to avoid using your address. Now you can go to your local post office, get a post office box. Then instead of writing p.o. box just where it says p.o. box insert apartment.

Call for help, call the crisis line. They have resources that we don't have.

Take self defense classes. This will give you confidence too.

Try to be around other people as much as you can.

Obviosly secure your home , lock windows and put sticks in them too. Lock all doors with more than one lock.

Call the police if you hear your stalker hanging around your house.Call them everytime he hangs around and jail him for every offense, the stronger the case the more time they get.

Do whatever you have to do to get away.

Stalkers can be obsessed with you, and it is possible to have two. These people can get so preoccupied with you, and what you're doing. It's very uncomfortable in knowing you are being watched, but you don't have to feel helpless. There are places that will help hide you from your stalker and they have loads of help with shelter, food. You probably will have to move around some. Stalkers don't usually stop on their own, they have to be stopped. Please call your local crisis line, to find out how they can help you. Legal aid and things. Go ahead make that call find a way to take your life back.

I was cyber-stalked in Alaska, and the police didn't even know where to begin their investigation. Computers are still a field where unknown creeps can stalk and attack in broad daylight, and unless you're savvy with computer use, you're sunk! Never giving out personal information is another way to avoid being cyber-stalked. I just heard on the news last night that people using dating web sites should never give their real name. They say hold it back until you know the person better, and simply explain, geez I met you online dude. Good article, thanks!

Great advice. It's also good to be aware of your own personal safety when out and about. I was stalked by a complete strainger who happened to be standing next to me in a taxi queue one night. He asked his taxi driver to follow my taxi to my house! I had no idea about this, it was the Taxi Driver who allerted me to it as we were arriving at my residence. Just goes to show you can be stalked randomly at any time, not always by someone you've had involvement with.
