The Civil Partnership
The civil partnership is a contract between two gay couples but in my view it is actually marriage and commitment with the same values as a heterosexual marriage.
We still take vows to each other and mean what we say, we are still commiting ourselves to eachother eternally and most of all we love each other.
We here in Britain got the law passed in december of 2005 so that gay couples could enter a civil partnership or marriage to each other.
Now then you have the planning to begin and all the arrangements have to be made, you will find yourself getting stressed out planning for the big day when in fact it is the fastest day in history, but we still pile on the pressure what with the invites, presents, families, the venue, and the vicar or registrar and the licenses and all the other paperwork you have to sign.
Then the bands have to be put out and when thats all done then you can have the big day and have your honeymoon, believe me it is all worth it in the end for both you and your partner.
If you are about to have a civil partnership I wish you all the luck and many congratulations to you both and I hope you have a long and prosperous future.
