Maurice Bishop, a powerful, spoken word Poet currently serving in the United States Army. Published Author & Motivational Speaker.

On July 15, 2010 at 2:00pm in South Philadelphia, I was driving on the road to go to the Roosevelt park. When I came at a complete stop at a red light, I saw a woman from the passenger side get out of the car and runs to my driver side window. When she came to the window I notice that she was dark skin, chubby, long braids, pretty smile but not attractive and she was 5"5 in height. When I rolled down my window she started talking and this is how the conversation went:

Woman: Where you going? (Smiling)

Me: I'm going to the park. (Smirk)

Woman: Can I come with you?

Me: No! (Serious face)

Woman: (Laughing) Why?

Me: (Lying) Because I have a girlfriend.

Woman: Forget your girlfriend. She don't have to know.

Me: There's a green light so I have to go.

Woman: (With a rude attitude) That green light can wait!!

I quickly rolled up the windows and pressed hard on the gas pedal not knowing if I ran over her foot. I heard cars honking their horns and saw her in the middle of the street through my rear view mirror. When I finally reached the Roosevelt Park I parked my car in the parking lot and came out of my car to walk towards the lake. When I reached the lake I decided to smoke on a black & mild and saw two older couples near the picnic table together hugged up and enjoying the view. They saw me looked over and I hesistantly waved to them and they waved back and smiled. Within 2 minutes of standing near the lake just thinking about my life I heard a loud voice shout, "HEY BABY DADDY!!" I turned around and saw the woman that I just drove away from. I was irritated and mad and told her, "Did you just follow me here?"

Woman: Whatever! I don't follow no man! (Attitude)

Me: So what you here for? (Irritated)

Woman: Dang! Why you got to be so rude? (Attitude)

Me: Because I don't want to talk to you. Besides I think your friend is waiting for you in the car. (Irritated)

Woman: That whore can wait! But anyway you sexy; especially that body of yours! (Flirting)

I was walking away and I felt her following me.

Woman: Don't walk away from me! That's so rude!! (Getting mad)

I was ignoring her and she kept on cursing at me saying you must be gay if I don't talk to her. After she said that I ran to my car as fast as I could. When I look behind me this woman started running after me shouting, "WAIT FOR ME!!!" I hurried up and went into my car and started the engine. I don't know how she caught up to me so fast but she jumped on the hood of my car. I looked over to the car she was in and saw her female friend in the car laughing very hard. I was going to drive off with her still on the hood of my car until I saw a cop car parked in his vehicle behind mines. In my mind I'm thinking great! I can tell the cop what happen, this crazy woman would leave me alone and I can go about my business.

Did you know that woman came off the hood of my car, starting crying and ran to the cop shouting, "RAPE!! Arrest him officer!! The crazy part is her friend that was in the car got out and started going along with her friend lies. I came out the car and started shouting, "Officer! THEY ARE LYING!! THEY FOLLOWED ME HERE!! Before I can say another sentence the cop shouted, "STAY IN THE CAR AND KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEELS!!". I went back in my vehicle and thought this stupid cop is going to believe them. I was full of rage and scared at the same time. Although I never hit a woman in my life, she was going to be the next pop singer Rihanna and Chris Brown don't have nothing on me after I'm done. I was thinking hard and fast how I can proved my innocence but couldn't come up with anything except telling the officer the truth. I was more scared when 3 cop cars drove in the parking lot and thought I'm going to jail for something I didn't do. I had no video camera to record everything that happen, no evidence and no witnesses.

One of the officers walked over to my car and told me to get out the car and put my hands behind my back. I did just that and the cop handcuffed me while the crazy woman shouted, "THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET!! I'M A CHRISTIAN SO I'M GOING TO PRAY FOR YOU!!" I was put in the back of the cop car and I waited. My legs were shaking and everything. I thought my whole life ended until I saw the two older couples walk over to one of the officers and told them everything that happen. Although I don't know what they said to the officers but it convinced them enough to let me go and they arrested the two women. Little did I know that those two women had a warrant for their arrest.

To make the long story short I never had a chance to talk to the older couple but the officer that arrested me apologized, took the handcuffs off, let me go and said, "Thank you for your service and to be careful. I was going to ask how did he know I was in the service until I saw my dog tag around my neck. I went in my car and drove back to my safe home and that's my story of the craziest woman I've ever met!

      ------------------------------

      attention Women of cranberry township:

please excuse the lack of proper capitalization in this letter, i have made a habit of not using capital letters, ever since a previous UNIX host of my website (i call it my Womansite) made the entire site inaccessible due to file requests being case-sensitive on UNIX servers. of course, that host was a man - making everything difficult. i shudder to think of the naivete i had in thinking i'd be able to actually tolerate having a man in charge of my elite website for WOMEN.

now that that is out of the way, i'd like to introduce the url - women.cranberrytownship.co - to every Strongwoman of cranberry township. i began the website as a personal homepage (under a different url), way back in the late 1990s, but it has grown into something so big and womanly - it still has that "personal homepage" feel to it, but it is so much bigger. it's kind of like us Women, whereas we have that "shorter, smaller" look to us, we are so much bigger than what we appear. i'd like to credit the "giant eagle" of cranberry township for providing the sign shown on the first page of my website. to tell you the truth, i don't know where else i'd have been able to find a handicapped parking spot doubling as "parking for pregnant women". it's a Goddess-send!

women.cranberrytownship.co is a place for women, for the female identity, and it was created entirely with the Strongwoman's perspective in mind. whether a Woman is looking for members of the lesser gender (men) to date, whether she is just wanting to "shoot the breeze" in a coffee-klatch, women.cranberrytownship.co is THE place for femininity and OUR issues. of course, women.cranberrytownship.co also deals with members of our elite gender not wanting to date the lesser, masculine gender. in fact, it SPECIALIZES in Lesbianism, for it is only with Lesbianism that Women can be Women. nobody is complete without a Woman in their lives. NOBODY.

please tell your Strongwoman neighbors, tell your Pink co-workers, tell everyone lifting the big pink barbells at "curves fitness," tell them that women.cranberrytownship.co is the new place for femininity with everything tailored to OUR perspective.

      yours in goddess,

      dylana terreri, i

Thank you Amy. I realized that in this world there are some evil people. If it wasn't for those couples out there I would of went to jail. Now and days cops lock a person up without any evidences. Look at how that popular football player gets the death penalty for a crime he didn't committ. They had no blood, nor dna, and no fingerprints on the gun. Any how thanks for the comment. Much love and respect

What bothers me the most is the power that the police hold, their assumption of guilt in a man, yet their lack of suspicion of the women. Normally, I would think, when there is discrepancy in the stories, both parties would be checked for previous offenses or pending warrants. I am glad you were fortunate enough to be in a public place and were overheard by people with honor. It is scary to think, however, that were it not for chance, you would have been taken to jail. And the two criminals would have gone on to play their games on the next kind face they came upon. Thanks for sharing an important event that should serve as a warning to innocents.

OMG! What the HECK!!!! So glad it ended well, but how frustrating. And, how sad that your only salvation was the couple that saw you at the lake, but thank goodness they did stick up for you!

      Take care.

This world is full of crazed people -- and that excludes the dependent ones on various forms of drugs!

I'm glad that the older couple came forward. Kindness is always returned -- one way or another. Be safe.
