The First and Only Christmas so far that My Husband and I are Together
Meeting My Husband in the airport
I was counting down days since the plan of his coming to the Philippines was set a month earlier. He was to arrive in the Manila International Airport at 12:10 on the 19th of December, 2013.
The Delta Airplane actually landed at 11:17 after midnight...for me it was such a long wait.
Our Unusual Marriage
I am my husband's second wife and he is my third. We married on October 5, 2011 after which he went back home to his hometown in the U.S. while I was left here in the Philippines. My husband and I just met in Tagged, a year before he finally came to marry me, well, he visited me once in February that year before he came back in October for our wedding.
From then on, my husband and I just contented ourselves with daily chats in the net. We chat twice a day and at least two hours every time. Mind you, it is such a difficult type of relationship. Aside from the legal problems that we are facing especially concerning my legal paper and the bureaucracy that prevented me from going to the U.S. to join my husband, we are also dealing with internal and frustrating problems such as jealousy and suspicions. There are a lot more misunderstandings and cultural misinterpretations that could have been avoidable if we were together. Hence being together for some time was the sweetest dream we harbored for the two years that we had been apart.
Spending Christmas together in the Philippines
Greg said that it was snowing when he left his hometown in Indiana. The opposite is the actual situation here in San Fernando, Philippines. Greg and I were walking down under the hot sunny day the morning after his arrival. We walked down from my home towards the bank where he had to change currency; afterwards we went to my school to visit my best friend who is now the Administrator; she then invited us to attend the Christmas part that was held that evening in which Greg and I attended.
Morning walks, gym, shopping and dinners
The day before Christmas, my husband and I walked around St. Dominic Corinthian Subdivision where I live for the past two years now. It was a very hot and sunny morning. In the afternoon our neighbor friends, couple Monette and Efren fetched us for our membership shopping in S&R then we proceeded to have our Christmas eve dinner in Bubusuk.
These are just some of the things my husband and I can do together when we are living together.
Memorable Christmas 2013
The cherished dream of spending real quality time together as husband and wife had finally come true this memorable Christmas season of 2013. I am looking forward to the real life marriage situation of my husband and me when I am already living with him in the U.S.
This being together in this memorable Christmas is just a prelude to our happily ever marriage life together. He is the greatest gift I can ever have in any of the Christmaases I ever had in my whole life.
