The Kavanaugh Sex Assault Case

Updated on September 23, 2018

This really is a no brainer made difficult by the two political parties and their agendas. The allegation of Dr. Ford stating that Kavanaugh tried to seduce her and nearly raped her way back when they were in high school is headline news. The Republicans will pretend to listen to her allegations and give it mouth service even though they do not really believe it. They will then just take the vote and nominate the man to the Supreme Court. The Democrats who withheld this last minute issue for months may or may not be for just cause because of the reluctance of Dr. Ford's accusations.

Regardless, if one is truly fair, then time limit should not be an issue and either a third party or the FBI should question both persons and those present at the party, then, report the findings, which may or may not exonerate either person. Of course, there is no Republican fairness because of the pending November elections and were Kavanaugh found to be misleading in truthfulness, Trump's nominee would be in jeopardy. Had there not been the elections this year, maybe they would allow more time.

Fact is, unless Kavanaugh was so drunk, he probably has some recollection of what went down at that party. If he really did try to screw Ford and she resisted, I am sure he recalls it because it is a horrifying event for both. It is not something one would forget over time. I can recall many questionable things I did in HS way back. For Ford, this event was perhaps life changing for her in subsequent years enough for her to go to therapy.

If Kavanaugh is guilty, do you really expect him to admit it???? Knowing that his nomination to the highest court in the USA would be withdrawn? No, he would deny it and have some friends back him up on Twitter, who maybe were not present in that bedroom because I am sure they were the only two there. As to Ford, up until the nomination, Ford had been trying to deal with it. Was her disclosure political? Of course, but that does not make the allegation wrong or baseless unless you want Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. Has Kavanaugh changed since then, of course, and now he is embarrassed for every possible reason, even if Ford is proven wrong.

Let the facts come out and fall where they may. That is the only fair thing to do now, otherwise, and hearings will be a sham by the Republicans.
