The Part of a Broken-hearted Girl

Updated on July 25, 2016

One time in our life, our heart gets broken. Some grow stronger but others never recover.

Staring at the girl with the lavender eyes

Sitting alone under a bright blue sky

Whispering a sad sweet note

Echoes of faith and a sprinkle of hope

She silently wiped her tears away

And gazed into the open sea

Just because she kept her life whole

You don’t have the right to mock her soul

Her friends ruined her life

Jealousy and envy on sight

The rain washed away her dreams

Together with her so-called best friend

I think she learned her lessons well

For she picked herself up when she fell

From afar, I still looked at her

And somehow I say a little prayer

You deserved to have the lead role

Not just the part of a broken-hearted girl

Go throw that script away

You still have a chance to re-write the play

She's a lovely and sweet young girl

But people around betrayed her

Now she's all alone

Floating on an empty song

Her hair danced on the light breeze

And lips on a soft twist

Those lavender eyes smudged with tears

Was the last thing I saw in her

I stared one last time to this girl

She lived on my past and I barely know her

While I put down the mirror and smiled

Ready to face the journey called "life"

xoxo.

Sometimes, I just have to hold my head up high, try not to cry and say goodbye... Because I'm so tired of playing the part of a broken-hearted girl.

Outstanding Spy! I never saw the ending coming but when it did, it had one powerful impact on me. Glad to know she picked herself back up as I happen to think she is an amazing human being with a beautiful soul. She has so much goodness and talent to offer this world. She makes a difference.
