The Royal Wedding Back Story
Love at first sight. Just two dates in July 2017, (the first was a blind date) and then five nights camping under the stars in Botswana. That is all it took for Prince Harry (33) and Meghan Markle (36) to get engaged and now married.
Prince Harry knew nothing whatsoever about her. Never had seen the TV show "Suits" where Meghan had starred in for many years earning $50,000 an episode. She is now a millionaire. According Harry, for him, it was love at first sight. For Meghan, almost the same. The first two dates were typical affairs of getting to know the other and much of the discussion was about their passions to make the world a better place. For Meghan, that got Harry his second date. The race issue never was considered by either. While Meghan is half African-American from her mother, she looks more Hispanic in color because her father is white.
The most remarkable back story to this fairy tale love affair is that when Meghan's mother was pregnant with her in 1981-2, her mother was watching Princess Diana get married on TV. At that time, neither Harry or Meghan existed, yet, decades later, they meet on a blind date and Meghan marries Harry, son of Princess Diana! This kind of thing makes one believe that everyone has a life path at birth that can be followed or deviated from because of free will. Some things are meant to be when a life path converges with another and the stars are aligned. This was also said about The Beatles, which proved to be true as rock's most revered band. But even this band has a real connection to the Royal Wedding.
Unbelievable as it is, Paul McCartney is the father of Mary McCartney. Mary is well known in the fashion world, not as a model, but fashion designer with her own clothing line in high-end stores. Mary designed Meghan's wedding dress and Paul was elated with it in his tweet.
Love at first sight really does happen. Meghan knew very little about Harry except what she had heard or read in tabloids, but with a busy film career, it was all in passing and when being set up for the blind date her only question was, "Is he nice?" Once back from Botswana, the couple rearranged their lives so they could be together every two weeks in this VERY long distance relationship across five time zones. Many times, Meghan would get off the plane in L.A., and directly go to the studio for filming. They would spend most of their time out of the public eye in Harry's cottage bonding, doing things together, etc.
Both knew what the end result would after the Botswana camping period. It was just a matter of time. Some things are true fairy tales.
