To Andrea, From Andrea
To my dearest Andrea;
Please be kind and gentle with yourself, you were intended to love and to be loved. You are so nice and friendly to everyone except for yourself, which is not fair to you. You have a heart of gold, a brain with beautiful ideas and great determination to match. It’s very brave to do what you do; you have this natural ability to help out everyone, make anyone smile and give them what they need. But why can’t you do that for yourself?
You don’t know how worthy you are. You are worthy of life, you are worthy of nice things, you are worth it. You are one of the greatest creations that I have ever known, simply because you have multiple purposes in this world. You were put on this earth to make people dance, to make people smile, but more importantly to change their perspective on this twisted up world, filled with roads that lead to all sorts of places. These places may not always be ideal, but you were put on this earth to make people realize that the road less traveled is the most rewarding.
It’s a very special thing you do, working with kids. Not everyone can do it, but you have the gift, and a beautiful one at that. Thank you for impacting the lives of the 3 and 4 year olds this past summer. Because they knew you, they have been changed for good. It must have comforted not just the kids but everybody at camp to know that a hard worker like you was with them.
You are just plain amazing. You are beautiful in every sense of the word. We can even ignore the appearance part of the word beautiful, and you would still be full of beauty. You have a beautiful mind, beautiful thoughts and beautiful, creative ways of helping others.
It is a wonderful thing to be talented in so many different ways. You are so good with musicality, working with others, dancing, writing and expressing yourself in such a way that others can not only understand, but also make sense of every message that you attempt to convey. You can virtually do anything your heart desires, whether it be opening your own dance studio, being an expressive arts therapist, writing a book, literally anything you want you can have with perseverance and dedication on your end. Once you have those steps down, you can fly.
It’s going to be hard. It’s going to hit you up one side and down the other. It’s going to wrestle with you until you fall over. But for every time you fall over, you must simply get back up and keep fighting for yourself. No one is going to be there to save you every single time that you fall, and for every time you physically get up after being knocked down, that shows such a sense of resiliency. And to be resilient and have as much strength as you do, there’s nothing better than that. You are fully equipped to do just about anything that you set your mind to.
It’s literally all a frame of mind. You win some, you lose some, but by no means can you ever give up. You have come too far to give up now, you can’t walk away from the people you love and the people that love you right back. You can do this. It’s even in your name, strength. You have everything you need right in front of you, so pick yourself up and dust yourself off and get back in the saddle. It’s all up to you.
