Top 10 Ways Women Won't Keep a Man

Updated on October 12, 2011 posted a top 10 list titled Top 10 Ways To Tease Her and Make Her Crazy For You. Immediately upon reading this, my friend and I thought... "Well, if by teasing you mean picking on her and driving her crazy and driving her away". They came out with a sarcastic (hopefully) approach on how to tease your woman on a date and make her melt for you. My friend Sunny Robinson wrote a hub initially titled "Top 10 Ways Men Won't Get a Date". A top 10 view on how men acting as such would do the exact opposite of what the article was implying. This is my rebuttal... a reverse look on what would happen if women were to be the bitch.

You could be a funny, carefree woman and engage in conversation. If he is a douche, move on. You don't need to base your life around a man but having a partner or best friend for life isn't a bad thing. Don't let one bad egg ruin your ability to go out and have fun. Be yourself and have that drink with him

No. 10 Act Uninterested

If a guy comes over to you in a bar or your favorite nightclub asking to buy you a drink, just ignore him. You don't need to acknowledge him, acknowledging him gives him the "IN" he is looking for to break down your wall and maybe get in your pants. Just turn your back and act like he isn't even there. If he is persistent just go ahead and give him "the look". Most women know this look. This is the look of "go away, you disgust me". A quick tutorial on this look for those who do not know:

  1. Drop your chin.
  2. If you are wearing glasses or sunglasses look over the rims. Angry librarian style.
  3. part mouth slightly
  4. Widen eyes and look up at him....
  5. curl lip slightly.

This will give the hint that you are annoyed and he will go away.

Make sure he sees how pissed you are that he is talking to you...
Make sure he sees how pissed you are that he is talking to you...

Call him, if you had a good night and he was worth your time then go out one on one to see if a connection lies there somewhere. You never know until you try.

No. 9 Ignore Him

If he was lucky enough (or hot enough) to make it through your initial meeting while you were out and he got your number. Screen his calls. Ignore his texts. If he ends up seeing you out afterwards just pretend like you lost your phone or have just been too busy to bother with him. If you really want to drive him nuts, make sure he knows how little he means to you.

Playing hard to get wasn't fun for the men back in grade school. Grow up and show that you are a truly classy chick. If it doesn't work out, move on. If it does, try another date.

No. 8 Play Hard to get... Really hard to get

Most women are ingrained with a "play hard to get" defense mechanism. It starts in grade school when boys are believed to have cooties. By high school this is in full swing and used as a way to really annoy that cute guy at school while you giggle with your girlfriends around the corner. Just after school age the "hard to get" mechanism is usually considered too juvenile to mess with but is then able to be used to really piss off a guy. Talk to him only once in a while, be flaky on all your dates and really try to seem uninterested or obtainable. This will drive a guy nuts!

Laugh with your girlfriends about it... It's FUNNY!
Laugh with your girlfriends about it... It's FUNNY!

Follow through... you start the fire, you put it out. Besides, getting a man revved up during a date makes for one hot bed romp later that night.

No. 7 Lead Him on

If he does manage to get to be graced with your presence on a real date, tease him like crazy. You want him to be driven up the wall and asking for the check halfway through dinner, or out of the theater before the movie ends. If this occurs you can leave him then saying "something came up", or allow him to take you home and give a quick goodbye and rush inside before he has a chance to make a move. This will really kill his ego and give you a good laugh before the night is over.

Most men still don't believe this, but women REALLY don't care about a mans size... there's not really much more to it then that. We really don't care. It's not what you have, it's how you use it.

No. 6 Insult his size

If for some reason you decide you do want to take it a tad further you really need to pull out all the stops. When in bed with him you want to make sure when he drops trou you point and laugh or audibly make a "that's it?" comment to make sure he really sees your total disappointment. Most men will be too hurt to really continue. In this case, make sure he takes care of you beforehand.

Exaggerate the pointing and laughing... hell, roll on the floor
Exaggerate the pointing and laughing... hell, roll on the floor

You could have a good time. Most men like to get their best friends approval on a girl, If you act like a bitch in front of his friends, he will kick you out the door.

No. 5 You are above him and his friends

If you absolutely have no choice but to hang out with him or his friends make sure they know you are better than them. Allow them to see your disgust of being in their presence. Demand they retrieve things for you and insult what they are wearing and how they aren't worth your time. Make sure you show your annoyance by texting your friends or making phone calls when you insult the group you are with loudly to your girlfriend on the phone.

It's about you.... always
It's about you.... always

Even if you DO have a headache, everyone knows that coitus and release makes headaches disappear. The endorphins released will relieve headaches.

No. 4 You have a headache...again

This one is great if you are in a relationship that has lasted longer then you want.  Just tell him you have a headache....every night.....all the time.

Give him his space. Let him have his guy time, go get a manicure and a coffee with friends.

No. 3 Be clingy

If you want to really reverse the roles to screw with his head, be extra clingy and possessive. Make him tell you where he is at all times, Keep tabs on him. Allow him to really know you are going the extra mile to find out by contacting all his friends and asking where he is all the time. You want to hammer home that you really don't trust him and you  want him to KNOW this.

Be yourself. You don't need the approval of others but having a built-in support system in your man is always good. Be caring and kind and when you need him, he will be there for you.

No. 2 Be crazy... really... really crazy

Just go nuts. Yell at him for no reason. Cry if he says something to you, doesn't even matter what it was. A good example of this would be :  "Hey, have you gone to the market for eggs?" Burst in to tears and tell him he doesn't appreciate you how you have to do everything. The hot and cold responses to everything will really screw with his head and give you a good laugh later.

Flirt with him openly in public. Men like to feel wanted. It may even lead to a reward later that night when you two are alone.

No. 1 Flirt openly in front of your man

Make your man feel completely inadequate and flirt with other men openly in front of him if he takes you out. Allow him to see that you are capable of dropping him like a hat whenever the mood strikes you and that you can have better than him any day of the week. If he sees you flirting not only will this piss him off it will kill his ego.

Finding Yourself

Don't allow a man to treat you like crap. If he starts out weak by "busting you on your jokes" in a mean way, or "saying mean things in a playful way" doesn't always mean he is in it for the long haul. More often then not women are attracted to men who are douchebags. But men who are like this are usually only in it for one thing. Finding a nice man in the world is tough. Don't let it get you down though, if you can be strong willed and independent you won't need a man in your life. Don't let a man strip you of your ego and allow you to think that you will never find better. Life is not a game of keeping score. So if he tells you that "you just lost a point", tell him he just lost YOU.

Don't forget that just because some men act like a douchebag , doesn't mean you should treat a man the same way. Relationships are a two way street, if you act like a bitch, you won't attract any man let alone keep one. It's never okay be unkind to a person, also acting as such will label you a "whore" or a bitch to everyone you know.

Great hub. Interesting thought: Many relationship end because the things that were attractive about their mate, are the things that pushed them away... Life is an ebb and flow. Perhaps a clue is to learn to ebb and flow together... Or at least be aware of the "ebb and flow" cycles of life...

The "really, really, really, crazy" thing usually works unless the guy is desperate. Then you could probably threaten to kill him and his whole family and he'll end up apologizing for making you so angry you wanted to hatchet his mother.

Oh man, I should write about that toilet seat thing. Seriously, I have a huge issue with this. For example, something is wrong with your relationship if you're going to complain about the damn toilet seat!

A man has to constantly lift the seat in order to pee so he doesn't pee on the seat. A woman has to put the seat down in order to sit and pee or whatever. Sooo, it sounds incredibly mutual to me there!

Lol. I agree with you, Amber. I'm with Sogno, I just do not like confrontation and I am more willing to take care of my guy as much as he is for me. It's very mutual, as it should be.

Thanks for that Amber! That was beautifully written, and it's so true. I hate confrontation and picking fights is not something I readily do. Sometimes you have to realize what's important in a relationship.

Thanks for this hub. I think too many women think that the "bitch" personality and playing hard to get will eventually win a man over. But what men want is a woman who understands him and doesn't bitch every time he wants to go out and have a couple cigars with his buddies. They need a woman to take care of them just as much as he needs a woman to let him take care of her.

Too many movies promote "play hard to get" attitudes towards relationships and it gives young, impressional women the wrong idea.

Ladies be supportive of your men! Remember, pick and choose your battles. Most likely if you are pissed that he didn't put the toilet seat down then maybe you should be remembering that he cut your lawn for you last week without you asking him or remember when he fixed that leak under the sink.

I think women in general, should remember to appreciate and show appreciation for their man for often. The next time you want to fuss at your man, maybe try biting your tongue for a while and see if the issue is still important later. After all, you could be saving yourself a meaningless fight.

Wow! That is terrible. I guess I am just too much heart to ever be able to cheat on anyone I am with but I suppose it was best to find out. You, I'm sure will be better off without someone like that in your life.
