How to plan the perfect Twilight wedding
Everything you need to plan the perfect Twilight wedding just like in Breaking Dawn!
Are you looking to plan your perfect Twilight: Breaking Dawn wedding? You've come to the right place my friend. I am a huge Twilight fan and had the amazing pleasure to go see Breaking Dawn at midnight opening day. The wedding scenes were my favorite scenes from the Twilight Saga ever! I haven't been able to stop thinking about that wedding! Seriously if I was getting married I would go all out and plan my wedding around this beautiful Twilight theme.
For all of you out there who are not Twilight fans, or who have never heard of Twilight (Blasphemy!) please take a look around this page. The Twilight: Breaking Dawn wedding was a beautiful, elegant, romantic wedding with traditional details and a vintage, gothic feel.
You will find everything in this page to recreate the Twilight wedding, from the dress, to the shoes, to the place settings, invitations and cake. Edward not included... Weep
Start off the Twilight wedding theme with the beautiful invitations.
The Twilight: Breaking Dawn invitations were designed by the New York based Connor Fine Engraver & Stationer. The invitations were hand-engraved on a steel plate and then stamped individually by hand into 100% cotton paper. The envelopes are hand-lined in delicate silver tissue and are sealed with wax embossed with the Cullen Crest.
Because each one is handmade, the cost per invitation is $25. You can order these invitations exclusively at Barneys New York

The wedding rings!
If you don't already have your wedding rings picked out. (Maybe your boyfriend doesn't even know your getting married yet...) You can get these rings just like Edward and Bella's! Bella's engagement ring was revealed in Eclipse, it used to be Edward's mother's. It is a beautiful white gold ring with an oval diamond encrusted setting. In the Breaking Dawn wedding, Bella switches her engagement ring to her right hand, while on her left hand she wears a simple platinum band that matches Edward's.
There are many companies that make replicas of the rings if you're looking for something inexpensive. There are also companies that make these real gold or platinum rings. Check out the links below to get your own set of Twilight rings!

The most important part of a wedding, the dress!
Bella's dress was the most anticipated wedding dress of the year (aside from Kate Middleton's!) It was successfully kept a secret until the day of the premiere. There was much speculation of whether the dress would match the description in the book, which was described as an "Edwardian dress." The actual dress captured that traditional, classic look with a modern, romantic edge to reflect Bella's personality. It was made by none other than Carolina Herrera! Famous for designing wedding gowns for celebrities such as Amy Smart and Christina Hendricks, this world famous high fashion designer made the dress come to life. The white sheath wedding dress was made of a crepe satin with a French Chantilly lace-embellished back. It took four seamstresses 6 months to craft the hand-made dress.152 buttons flanked by French Chantilly lace lined the back of Bella's gown and 17 buttons and Chantilly lace adorn each sleeve. The dress has a chapel train which has a loop that Bella slips around her wrist at the reception. How cool!
The dress is set to be released in Carolina Herrera's Spring collection 2012. It is rumored the dress will cost $35,000!
I myself found the dress to be perfect for Bella. It was classic and romantic. I love that fact that they didn't pick a "classic" strapless or spaghetti strap poofy dress. The lace-embellished sheer back is so sexy and feminine without going overboard. I would definitely pin this dress to my "dream board." How about you?

Alfred Angelo has created a beautiful replica of the dress that is spot on to the Carolina Herrera confection. The best part is the dress is only $799! Very affordable and comes in white and ivory and is available in sizes 0-30W!
The dress is available right now on Alfred Angelo's website and at 67 stores across the US. The dress is also available in Canada and in a few other countries. Check the website for more details.

Here's something you might not know, there were two dresses!
There were actually two weddings in Breaking Dawn! The first wedding occurs in Bella's nightmare. I won't give away any spoilers it was pretty..... we'll say scary. The dress she wore in her nightmare was totally opposite of what Bella would wear. It has a tight wire boned fitted bodice, is very frilly and girly and shows way too much skin for the tomboy that is Bella! Don't get me wrong it IS a beautiful dress it's just not something I would picture Bella wearing.
The dress is actually quite beautiful, it has a strapless, sweetheart neckline, a fitted bodice, a tie around the waist and a very frilly poofy-ish skirt.
Not a lot of people have seen this dress or paid much attention to it as the actual dress stole the show! Here's a pic of the dress. What do you think?
Which version of Bella's dress did you like better?
Bella's wedding accessories included:
A gorgeous jeweled comb that belonged to her grandmother given to her by her Mom & Dad on her wedding day.
A long flowing veil.
And some stunning Manolo Blahnik pumps! The 4 1/4" satin shoes have a unique, crystal-encrusted vine detailing. The shoes were custom-made for the movie, but you can now purchase your very own pair for $1,295! (Wish I had a Cullen to buy me those shoes!).
Initially, the pumps were planned for release in 2012, but luckily, you don't have to wait to purchase these unique heels. Available in white, black, and cranberry, the shoes are the exact pair we saw on Kristen in Breaking Dawn. Appropriately named the "Swan" shoe, it is a must have for any shoe collector!

Bella's beautiful cathedral veil!
Bella wore a very simple (although probably very expensive) cathedral veil. It flows all the way down to the floor and adds a feminine, romantic touch to her look.
Get Bella's long flowy veil!
Bella wore a simple but stunning long flowy cathedral veil in the movie. This is an exact match to what she wore, but it is much less expensive. Gorgeous.

Very similar, more affordable wedding shoes!
Bella's gorgeous hand tied fresh flower bouquet!
Bella carried a simple yet elegant hand tied bouquet that consisted of beautiful ivory flowers. It contained hyacinths, freesia, stocks and ranunculus. The freesia flower is always associated with Bella even in the books. It is often said that Bella smells like white lavender, freesia and strawberries.
Edward's Tuxedo, so hawt!
Edward's tuxedo in Breaking Dawn was custom made by the fine Italian tailors at Brioni. The tuxedo is black and of course since Edward is super traditional it has a tailcoat! (Only Edward could pull it off!) It's accompanied by a crisp white shirt and a matching creamy white vest, bow tie and pocket square. The tuxedo has all the traditional Edwardian details but doesn't feel dated or old, it still has a breath of fresh air to it that charmingly embodies Edward's timless youth.
The rest of the Cullen men: Carlisle, Emmett, and Jasper are also sporting custom made threads by Brioni.
The Cullens always exude elegance...
For Edward and Bella's wedding the Cullen men kept their attire in tune with Edward, wearing black tuxedos with white shirts, vests, bowties, and pocket squares. They all look so hot! As for the Cullen women, they are all dressed in varying shades of purples and lavenders.
Alice's dress is reminiscent of a flapper dress, which makes a lot of sense because Alice was turned in the 1920s. Rosalie's dress is a long lavender confection with a dark purple tie around the waist and a daring slit in front showing a lot of leg. Esme's dress is a bit more conservative, I think, a darker purple dress with some delicate beading and a tie around the waist. The Cullen's are always so stylish and usually dress in the same color scheme making them look even more stunning and gorgeous!
The mens tuxedos like Edwards, were custom made by Brioni, while the womens dresses were custom made by the Breaking Dawn costume designer Michael Wilkinson.

The reception and gorgeous flowers!
True to the Cullen's style, the reception for Edward and Bella's wedding was very lavish and decorated in shades of grays, purples and whites. The cermony and reception were held outside the Cullen home. The flower designer for the Twilight wedding was Tammy Polatsek, who used cherry blossoms, freesia and white lavender to set the romantic tone. There were 160,000 long strings of wisteria 40-50 feet in length that cascaded down from the trees.
The aisle was lined with arrangements consisting of delphiniums, sweet pea, viburnum, ranunculus, Australian ferns and moss.
The gorgeous centerpieces were made up of delphiniums, sweet pea, viburnum, ranunculus, and Australian ferns all blended with moss and featured manzanita branch-like candelabras.
The flowers, centerpieces, and arrangements blended in with the nearby forest, creating an illusion of nature and magic and wonder.

The gorgeous 5 tier wedding cake!
Edward and Bella's wedding cake is a round, white 5 tier confection with fondant pearls around the base of each layer and white and green flower blossoms cascading down the side and on the base.
Tying in to the wonderous nature of the forest theme, the base of the cake was set up for display on a tree stump.
I have been trying like mad to find out who made the cake but up until this moment I haven't been able to! Gaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh As soon as I find out more (baker, cake/frosting flavor, cost) you can be sure that you'll be the first to know!
In the mean time, check out this celebrity favorite wedding cake shop Little Venice Cake Company
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn wedding music!
The song chosen to be Edward and Bella's wedding song was none other than a "wedding version" of Iron & Wine's "Flightless Bird, American Mouth!" As most of you Twi-hards out there probably know, that song was playing when Edward and Bella had their first dance at the prom! I couldn't have picked a more perfect song myself, very romantic.
This song along with 14 others by great artists such as Bruno Mars, Christina Perri, and Carter Burwell is included in the Breaking Dawn soundtrack!
My favortie song from the whole soundtrack is definitely "It will rain" by Bruno Mars. I think it would make a great "wedding song" also.

The final part of the Twilight: Breaking Dawn wedding, the honeymoon!
Like everything else that the Cullens plan, Edward and Bella's honeymoon is divine and lavish. Alice helps Edward plan the honeymoon without Bella having even the slightest clue where they are going! Alice even packs all of Bella's suitcases so she won't see the outfits and guess where they're going.
The honeymoon destination is far, far away in an island off of Brazil. An island given to Esme as a gift from Carlisle. (Seriously? An island as a gift? Dang, I would of settled for a teddy bear...) The infamous Isle Esme, I say infamous because we all know what happens in that island! (Bow chika wow wow... I KID)
There is a huge, and I mean HUGE house in Isle Esme where Edward and Bella stay, a house with glass walls and doors, with gorgeous furniture, flowers and the big white canopy bed!
The good news is, the 11,000 Sq ft home is actually a real-life vacation spot near Mamangua Bay, between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil called Casa em Paraty. It is only accessible by boat or helicopter and it can be rented for only $7,000 a night! It's not too bad to spend your honeymoon where Edward and Bella spent theirs.
Check out some more pics of the honeymoon house below.
Get Edward and Bella's honeymoon bed!
That's right! The bed Edward and Bella "sleep" in on their honeymoon as newly weds in Isle Esme is available for sale! The PCH Series Canopy Bed is made of sustainably harvested teak and costs only $4,400! If you can't sleep next to Edward at least you can sleep in the bed he shared with Bella on their honeymoon in Breaking Dawn.
Bella's beige honeymoon dress.
In case you were wondering who made that gorgeous beige dress Bella wears when she leaves for her honeymoon with Edward, you are out of luck! That dress is a "one of a kind vintage" according to Summit Entertainment. I did some research though and found out that there are a few similar dresses for sale on Etsy. You can check those out here.
A quick note about the pictures.
I do NOT own any of these pictures most of them are courtesy of Summit Entertainment or used under Creative Commons license. They were just used to showcase the beautiful parts of the Breaking Dawn wedding to help readers plan their very own Twilight wedding.
