Unique Ideas For Proposing for the Frugal Guy/Gal

So your in love?

How sweet! Now just how do you ask the guy or gal of your dreams to marry you? How about trying something unique that won't cost you very much at all but your special someone will remember forever?

Car Trouble

This is a sweet idea I am stealing from a friend of mine. You take a nice drive out somewhere you both like. But in the process of getting there you pretend like something is wrong with the car (you should probably be driving to pull this off). Pull over (somewhere safe please!), pop your hood and stare into it until she comes over to look too. Then pull out the ring (your jacket or a hiding place, whatever works!) and get down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage!

One Rose A Day

  • Day one: Send one rose with the word "Will"
  • Day two: Send one rose with the word "you"
  • Day three: Send one rose with the words "marry me?".

If you do this with a service it'll cost more, but you can buy them rather cheaply at a grocery store or perhaps even cheaper at a flower shop if you are buying single roses. You can deliver them yourself (Maybe take them to her work while she is out for lunch each day - leaving them on her desk). I highly suggest you yourself take in the flower with the ring in it or have a good friend.

Alternative option: Buy one of those roses that let you record a message, and on the last day record "Marry Me? Will you marry me [name here]?"

Say love with a taco.
Say love with a taco.

¡Yo quiero Taco Bell!

I'm not sure if tacobell still makes these packets, but I do know some people sell them on ebay - so you could find one there. The packet simply says "Will you marry me?" on it. Take your sepcial someone out to taco bell or bring him/her taco bell and hand them the packet of sauce (make sure they look at it!). Maybe something like "Ha my packet says something funny, what does yours say?"

Sure this doesn't sound horribly romantic, but it's something she or he will remember forever! Some people prefer nonromantic things!
