Unspoken Wedding Vows.

Updated on January 2, 2010

Encircled with love.

Within these rings

that bind our fingers,
decorating four hands that
touch the special places,
that warm our hearts

together as one,
lies a space we both

occupy with great joy,,
in a special circle

of love times two.

By wearing this

silver banded orb,
that matches your own adorment,
we swear allegiance

to each others dreams,
placing our sterling vows,
on the digit next to

our baby fingers,
which will come soon enough,
to grip our fingers

with tiny love,
adding three to two

who will be as one.

The flowers so sweet

scented and lovely,
like your beauty

radiating in my soul,
are freshly plucked from

a batch of many flowers,
but treasured for their distinct features,
that add so much to my life.

We will love like no others,
or at least try very hard

to break the mold,
sharing the bliss of this,
space between two rings worn,
till they are worn themselves

by decades of wear,
till we are but pressed,

and become ourselves

dried flowers
between the pages

of time gone by,
and our rings will

lay side by side,
in coffins of satin lined,
on bony flanges still

stretching to hold
one another's hands,
across the small gap
in the space between

the graves we will share.
