Ways for a woman to enjoy her single life

Ways For A Woman To Enjoy Her Single Life

Taking the time to stop and smell the roses to wrap up a morning jog should be a start to enjoying your single life. Don't neglect the simple things in life, like unwinding on the couch with an interesting novel and a glass of your favorite wine. Being single doesn't have to be miserable, if you know that your life is important and that you should first make yourself happy before you can make someone else happy, life will be much easier and enjoyable for you.

If you like to go to the beach and run your toes through the sand or collect seashells, there should be nothing that should prevent you from doing it, so pack a small picnic lunch and take that drive to the beach, lay out and bask in the sun. Life is what you make of it and it can be pleasurable if you pamper yourself from time to time. If you're over-worked and you need a vacation, take advantage of any upcoming vacation time that you have, go someplace you've always wanted to go, have fun and relax and visit some relatives you haven't seen in a while should be something that you should consider.

If you like to get massages, you can make an appointment with a masseuse or visit a day spa for a facial and manicure. There's something else a single woman can do to pamper herself, is to join a gym or fitness center to keep in shape or just meet others and have a nice workout. Sitting at home all the time is not always the best thing for singles to do, so getting out and mingling with other people will be rewarding for you, if it's just to go to the mall and do some shopping or sit in the food court and people watch as you eat lunch. Bring some old stale bread to the park and feeding the ducks is also something to keep you from being bored. And it also benefits the ducks in return.

Sometimes doing a selfless deed like volunteering in a soup kitchen or homeless shelter to help the poor will be very uplifting for you and it will put you in touch with others who are just looking for someone to lend an ear.

If someone nice invites you out, that's a plus. don't turn down the invitation. However, some singles never get invited out because they don't always make themselves ready, available. Planning a nice candlelit dinner for yourself, with some soft classical music or any music you can relax to is always a good thing to do for yourself and taking a nice bath with aroma scented candles surrounding the tub will give you a more relaxed feel, afterwards slipping into your favorite gown and drinking a cup of chamomile tea.

Going to the theater to see a movie you've been wanting to see shouldn't be avoided because you don't have anyone to go with, go and treat yourself. There are many other things a single woman can enjoy on her own like art shows, museums or even the zoo. If you've always wanted to learn how to play the piano, taking a music class and getting piano lessons would be very interesting.

Getting a puppy or a kitten and taking the time to raise your best friend is something that can keep you from feeling lonely, and pets are a sure way of expanding our lives by taking some of the stresses of life away from us. One thing that single people shouldn't do is isolate themselves from others, especially if others want to be a part of their lives. Go to the party that your neighbor or co-worker has invited you to, it beats staying home having a pity party, feeling lonely or bored.

There will come a time when you will meet someone and fall in love, if you have left that part of your heart open. You will be ready because you have learned how to first make yourself happy and you will have plenty of happiness to share with another person.

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed this hub and thank you for being the first person to respond to it. Being single is definitely not the end of the world and it can be very enjoyable. Usually that is when the right person comes along; when you are content with just being single.

I really enjoyed this hub. I can't believe that it's been here for almost two years and no one has responded. What is wrong with people?!?!

I couldn't help but smile as I read many of your suggestions. In fact, just a few days ago I didn't feel like doing anything, so I stayed in my pjs and read an entire 378 page book, cover-to-cover it was great.

I am on a mission to enjoy life tons more. I've isolated myself for far too long. Thanks for the encouragement!
