Which Hair Color Do Women Find More Attractive On Men?
What makes a guy attractive?
The wonderful thing about attraction is that there will always be someone who will find you appealing.
Doesn't matter whether you are fat, skinny blond or dark someone somewhere will take one look at you and think wow!
How many times have you looked at a guy and thought yes that's the one for me!
But why? Was it his smile, his body shape or something else?
Well I will tell you. Nine times out of ten it will be the color of his hair. Its a fact that all women have a preference for a certain shade of hair color.
Come on ladies what is your favorite hair color on a guy?
Dimples and more!
We women tend to go for different personality traits than guys. Whereas a man will go for beauty, women choose humor over looks. If a guy has a sense of humor then he is in with a chance.
There is nothing more attractive than seeing a man with a grin as wide as his face, dimples and laugh lines. It beats every other type of attraction.
But we are not talking about personality at this point. We are looking at something subtle that most people notice subconsciously.
So what is it that catches the eye? Well let's take a look at the one thing that stands out the most.
“He looked good, like sin in a suit.”— Melissa Marr
Did you know, the very first thing a woman will notice on a man is their hair color?
They may not be aware of it when they are staring at the hunk in the corner of the bar, but yes hair color is top score for attractiveness.
Obviously the style of hair goes a long way to make a girl look twice too!
But there are really strong statistics that states one color does stand out from the crowd so to speak.
But which one? And why? Let's take a look.
Dark brown and black attract!
According to various polls and asking loads of friends the same question it seems that one hair color stands above the rest.
The second choice is rather unexpected!
It doesn't surprise me that dark hair comes top of the poll, as its said that dark haired men have an average of 10 dates a month. And black hair comes a close second with 7 dates.
But here's the thing, most of us would automatically assume that blond hair would come a close second. But that isn't the case.
Red had a lot more votes than blond! Surprised? Yes completely!
Blonds get around 3 dates a month, red hair manages four. So, somehow a guy with red hair fairs much better than a blond. Well who knew?
Let's take a look at why.
Tall dark and handsome.
Dark haired men are more popular than other hair colors because they come across as friendly trustworthy and kind. Of course it does all depend on what part of the world you live in.
This is based on a cosmopolitan City like London and New York. If you live in Norway or Sweden a lot of men are probably more blond than dark.
Of course brown and black hair is much more familiar to most of us than say a real blond. People tend to presume that if someone is really blond then they are likely to be from another country and may not know your culture and language well.
Purely psychological but tends to make sense. But then again someone with a foreign accent does sound very sexy!
50 Shades of blond!
So what about blond men? And why would they be bottom of the survey? Well there's a number of reasons and the main one being that blonds tend to come across as, well a bit of a flirt! They flutter from one girl to the next and are deemed to be unreliable!
Hey don't blame me guys! Just going with the majority! But to be fair I do think its probably got something to do with TV and Film.
If you think about it nearly every single 'cad' in films are usually blond. Maybe its had an influence in real life?
Of course it could be something as simple as the fact that there are more dark haired guys around compared to blond. The familiar will always win out.
Way to go reds!
But why would red hair be so successful? There is a theory that Prince Harry of Britain has something to do with it! Let's face it he is the cutie of the Royal Family!
The strange thing is a few years ago red haired men were always regarded as short tempered and very surly. It seems they have been given a reprieve. And thank goodness for that!
I do believe there is a serious reason for this. My dad had red hair and contrary to popular belief men with red or 'carrot' hair are not all fiery.
My dad was as soft as butter to his family. In fact the only time I cried when I was little was because my dad had yelled at me for being naughty! It was so unusual!
Considering how naughty I was as a child this was a one off!
You would never have believed that my dad had loads of medals for his time in the Army. He was so quiet.
So my point is, red haired men are faithful loyal and loving. Proof is in the pudding so to speak.
A quick look at face shapes.
Wide set eyes do if for some ladies, and others prefer dark lashes and blue or brown eyes.
The face has to look manly. Firm jaw squarish face, note I said squarish. Too square is going too far.
If a guy is 'pretty' and come on ladies we all love a bit of pretty male face.....snort.....lol! Then that can do it! For me, yes for me....sorry where was I?
But, there is a problem with pretty. It can show petulance and deceit. Damn! lol!
But sometimes a softer face can be all that we want in a guy. That shows warmth and love.
Eyes are the windows of the soul. Large dark eyes are a must for me but narrower eyes show maturity.
Pale eye lashes and eyebrows. Um. Not for me but why is that? Well its all to do with hair color.
But I digress......!
Long or short?
