Women, Kudos to great women.

Bible Gateway, Judges 16

New International Version (NIV)

Samson and Delilah

16 One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her. 2 The people of Gaza were told, “Samson is here!” So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They made no move during the night, saying, “At dawn we’ll kill him.”

3 But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.

4 Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. 5 The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels[a] of silver.”

6 So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”

The Portrait of Dorian Gray

The dictionary provides the following definition: disguise (dɪsˈɡaɪz) —vb: 1. to modify the appearance or manner in order to conceal the identity of (oneself, someone, or something)

Today I must comment on what I see

A barrage of women with presentations that are hard to believe

Behind quiet smiles and the appearance of extreme submission

Are women who want to dominate, rule, harm, and are parasitic in vision

Trained to destroy everyone in their path

So programmed that they even calculate their smiles and laughs

Sitting across the table from you with hardly anything to say

Because if they talk, their thoughts would give them right away

A product of a confused generation that wants it all for themselves

Believing that stealing from others is the best way to gather wealth

If you don't believe me, did we not watch in surprise

Gary Coleman's wife run to pull the plug in hopes of winning a prize

Perhaps these women always existed but not in such abundance

Now we have a generation of foolish women in record numbers

Grinding, prostituting, and setting a house asunder

Of any man who chooses her insincere disguise

Caught between her beauty and pleasure between thighs

Never realizing she is programed for his destruction and his demise

Welcome to the lures of the unholy woman

Cruel intent hidden behind the mask, like the Picture of Dorian Gray

But the value of a virtuous woman is beyond compare

Her genuine gentle ways of affection and care

Help you to face any day a victorious man

Supported by a loving cheerleader willing to hold your hand

As you walk through life and experience the challenges it brings

Faithful, loyal, and great comfort is the chorus she gently sings

A melody that designates in your heart

Loving you truly from the start

Your best friend

Your lover too

Who always prays the best for you

In her arms you find a loving peace with joy devine

She does good works when no one is looking

Gives to you without games because she's smitten

The experience you have with her will last beyond your lust

She's your wife, the mother of your children, a good soul you can trust

So kudus to all my amazing women that wear no mask, no pretending

Who can't sleep until they know you are alright and okay

Faithful, Loving, Affectionate, Genuine, and Loyal are their traits

You will never see them inappropriately dressed, bearing all for the world

For their value of their being is not just their hips, thighs, makeup, and hair

Wearing a smile of joy of happiness with themselves you see

With a big heart for those who desire and seek to make themselves a part of their world

There is nothing better than being a loving, valuable, complete woman in this world

To all my great women of good moral character, good heart, noble deed, with good intent; be encouraged and joyful for you are valued and appreciated. Be blessed in all that you do for your beauty is a spirit that blesses all that is encountered.

Quote by an unknown author:

A good woman is proud. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs.

A good woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true. She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.

You started with a very harsh introduction, about Delilah so that hit me kinda hard. But from there you contrasted it with what a good woman is like, and the sheer vastness of difference between the Delilahs of this world and the good women in this world. I'm glad you didn't generalize women as Delilahs but pointed out that there are opportunistic, cunning women just as there are good women. Now, I'm looking forward to your doing the same but this time, writing about men:).
