Here we go...

I don't have a life, I don't have a social life, I am so lonely, I feel so empty, and the list goes one. There is no counting how many times we've heard these words being uttered, hell; we may even have said this at some point ourselves. Come-on now, admit it, there was that one time you felt like that... Oh!, not once? Well my mistake, we've all felt this in many occasions.

Very true, we've all felt like that at some point, but some people find themselves in this state more often than not. More often than others they will be heard noting how meaningless their lives have become- but wait a minute, just one minute. What exactly does it mean? Just think about it for a minute. What exactly does it mean when someone says that their life has lost meaning? Now, now, you don't need to get all philosophical analyzing the question.

I believe that it simply means a lack of purpose- see, it is important to have something to look forward to, some goal (s) or objective (s).

You should really check out my other posts on love/relationships and the other one titled "who are you" :) really...

So shall we proceed? Great, let's

Having a purpose is important in life- this is why most of us want to be needed. We want to accomplish something, and having achieved some goal, move to another one. This, my good friend, is why the very rich and wealthy never stop trying to get richer: They never seem to run out of projects... It is human nature to try and achieve more- remember my post on technology trap? Yes? Awesome, at least you have some idea...

We may feel lost at times but I have to tell you mate; you do have a life, ok? Please nod is you agree.... There you are :)

Like I have mentioned in some of my previous posts, we are our own persons and therefore have to work on making ourselves be the best we can be. Sure, it is great to have friends who support us and remind us when we are going in the wrong direction, but it is ultimately up to us to decide on which steps to take- after all, you don't just want to do whatever others want our to do- remember, what may work for one person may not work for you, so know who you are, and what it is that works for you best, ok mate?

As I was saying, you do have a life. So what is the problem? I'll tell you...

Most of us will often tend to compare ourselves to others, remain stuck in memories of the past (what could have been) underestimate our abilities, fear trying, fear taking the first steps and even fear being judged, you know? What others will think of us.

Well, if that is you, then I'm sure you'll be complaining more about how meaningless your life is... How empty you feel and how you "have no life". I'm sure you've heard this many times, but I’ll mention it one more time- there is no reason to fear failure. Yeah, you may be disappointed, you may even get anxious, but you should never allow yourself to remain stagnant. Doing so will only leave you feeling like your life is headed nowhere. If anything, it would be what I would expect being "stuck in Limbo" to be like- if at all there is such a thing...

"Life is for the living, so live it" I'm sure you've heard this in that Passenger song; so why not look deep inside you and find something that interests you?

I know of someone who wrote a book, just because she was bored of sitting around and doing nothing. You can't think of something to do? Think back, to when you were a kid, there must have been so many things you had interests in- do you see any that you could pursue in our free time?

No! No! Mate, I'm not just talking about ventures that would make you money: not entirely, they can just be hobbies. Something that you can dedicate time to in order to complete successfully within a given period of time. I'm sure you seen some individuals dedicate their time for charity activities. Some even start simple and end up travelling to foreign countries to fully commit to the task.

Now, now, I’m not asking you to do the same. But I'm sure you have some desire to do something. Whatever it is: art, photography, designing something, doing animations, writing a short book- whatever project you feel suits you, try it out. You can always ask those close to you for assistance, but for heaven's sake, give it a try...

So I was thinking...

This got me wondering- how many great thinks do you think you've missed out on because you did not try? Things you could not accomplish because you got all reluctant to take the first step.

I've come to the realization that we have lots of free time to actually do something meaningful. Just think of all those hours you found yourself just idling around or participating in activities you had no interests in just because. These are some of the hours that can be allocated in to pursuing something of interest. The last thing you want is the year coming to an end and regretting not having started doing what you liked early enough. I mean, how many times you have thought to yourself "If only I started doing this earlier". I'm sure you'll agree with me that time is the most valuable thing we have in this world. No? Ok, we can agree to disagree :)

Don't let life pass you by...

Yeah, that again...
