If you were a basketball or football wife, would you agree to have your marriage be open?

Why would being a basketball or football wife have anything to do with agreeing to an open marriage? No matter what my hubby did for a living, if he wanted to play the field he shouldn't have asked me to marry him. That's how I see it.

But to each his or her own, I guess.

If both people are into being in an open relationship there's no harm nor foul.
If not, it's not gonna' work out well in the long run I dare say.

I wouldn't like the whole world in my business; I would like to keep my privacy!

An open marriage or an open relationship period in my opinion means that there is someone out there can do it better you can. It doesn't matter if you were the wife of King Tut, he is not allowed to be that disrespectful and ask his wife, the woman he vowed to spend the rest of his life with, to have an open marriage.

An open relationship can cause a lot of things that you can't control. For example, getting emotionally attached with many more but the main thing that it causes it a lot of pain and stress that you don't want or need for that matter. So, to answer your question, "If you were a basketball of football stars wife would you agree to an open marrige?" I'm going to have to disagree with that. Be selfish, because the rock is on your finger not theirs. You are his wife not those other women so why should you have to share?

I wouldn't be a basketball or football wife in the first place; but if I were, no.

I was just wondering what people thought. Someone asked why did it have to be about being a basketball or football wife. At the time I was watching Basketball Wives. All the groupies and cheating and these women still stay with their athlete husbands. Wondering if that was an agreement before marriage and thats why they continue to stay. What looks like an affair to us the public could be something they agreed upon before hand or they're just silly and wont leave because of the money.
Personally I wouldnt agree to it either!!!

It is true that, in the world of professional sports your man would be exposed to so much more than if he were to just take a job at Microsoft. Hmmmmm..... Or is he really? No matter where you go, there you are and we have opportunities and choices every day. If open marriage is your thing and both partner's are happy about it then congratulations on finding each other. I say that because open relationships are one-sided. If two people can be that honest with each other they are doing better than most, in my opinion.
