Yes, accidents happen. However, there is no excuse for grabbing a piece of toilet paper and wiping it up.

Wait...wait...You're not supposed to just close your eyes and pee until you hear water and know you're in the right spot?

As a man, there is no excuse! If an accident does happen then you should clean it up! No one should have to clean up your mess as it is disgusting and a potential health hazard. Maybe people that do that do it on purpose? Gross!

I would like to answer the question by saying, if he cleans up after himself, there is no problem with  a man missing the toilet from time to time. That happens sometimes. I am not a man but I can understand how that could happen once and a while.

No, there is no excuse. In Japan they painted a fly in a urinal to see if men could still be trained by such a small tacktic. 90% of the men sent their pee directly on the fly. Apparently men can be trained.

    Yes....

If he is rushing because he held off going to the bathroom too long. The minute he unzips his pants he starts peeing before he gets his aim.

Another reason may be if he is an older man with an enlarged prostrate. Most likely his urine will not be in a "uniform solid stream" but instead "spray" or occassionally comes out in multiple blasts.

Imagine using a bottle of Windex which contains various settings for adjusting the spray. When a man pees it's not always going to come out with the same force. However as has been pointed out in other comments, if an accident happens it should be wiped up!

People sometimes cannot hold anything in full control. We all lose control sometimes, just like men, they too lose control at times. so its pretty excusable.

what a question!  No!  Definitely no excuse whatsoever.  The toilet bowl is big enough.. how can a man possibly not hit the target, heaven only knows.

Well, they would have to be really old, really young, really sick or really drunk.

But - they can also clean it up.

yes there are too many reasons that can make any man miss toilet. Any man who is under alcohol will miss toilet over and over again. illness can also cause that.

If the man is too tall the toilet is too far below to get a good aim. I say we build toilets that men can hang over or as I have always said  everyone should sit down and then there would be no problem.

A gentleman, with no medical issues, who misses the toilet often could have an issue with eye hand coordination.  He needs therapy !     And, some disinfectant wipes.

After a few drinks it become significantly more difficult... Perhaps inexcusable but still.. The solution is clearly just to install urinals in you bathroom smile

Absolutely not. Unless they are drunk that is. They should try sitting down which makes it much better for all. LOL
