   men showing off their driving skills to women are the worst.
   so are women who try to back seat drive they are the worstest.

   If you ask the insurance companies (and they spend tonnes of money on their surveys) they would tell you it's young men up to 25yrs who have the worst record.
   
   But define worst...
   Women are more inclined to hit stationary objects (parked cars and letter boxes) and men are more likely to get caught out trying to pull of a risky manouver.

   I have to say some woman are as bad as men because I have seen both male and female drivers text while driving, answer mobile while driving, ignore what an indicator is for, disobeys the rules of the road, ignore speed signs and tailgate and crash cars.
   
   So you can't say one is better than the other.

   We haven't gotten past the gender issue yet?  I know poor women drivers and poor men drivers.  It depends on the individual, their attention span, their speed etc.

   I think it does not depend on the gender. More on character. Women in general tend to drive more careful than men but that does not mean that one drives worse maybe it takes a bit longer to reach the destination but therefore at least you reach the destination.

    It is the person, who does not signal a lane change, a person who thinks they can wait until the last auto space to squeeze into position, despite a mile's warning that the lane will end.
    
    It is the driver who zips accross 6 lanes of traffic just to get an auto's length ahead of traffic.
    
    It is the driver who disobeys all regulations to " move over" and give access to the emerging lane or to the disabled vehicle.
    
    It is the driver, who thinks, that they among hundreds of fellow travelers, have a limited time to get to their destination.
    
    It is the driver who refuses to yeild, and give the other driver a fair chance on the roadway.
    
    I can identify the auto sometimes, but the sex of the driver, rarely.

    Both are lousy drivers, it depends on their attention span, their mood, how they were taught to drive, etc.  Many things are the cause behind lousy drivers but gender is not one of them.

    It is not a matter of gender anymore, that would just be sexist! The only reason sexism revolves around driving is based upon the fact that women had to fight for equal grounds with men, and among all things, driving. Upon the premise that women are now paralleled to men in nearly everything, men and women both have the opportunity to drive equally great, and unfortunately, equally lousy.

    both can be very lousy. i find that men tend to be the crazy, fast drivers that zip on buy you and women are the slower, unaware ones that slam on their breaks randomly and act lost.

    Hi:
    Ever see someone downtown trying to parallel park and just can't do it no matter how many times they try to back in? They back in, can't get it straight so they pull out again and start the whole thing over? Oh and the best ones are the ones who have their passenger get out and try to direct them into the spot. When you see that, you can all but bet your life that it's a woman at the wheel. It just seems that women aren't coordinated behind the wheel.
