   I think it is because a lot of people marry the first person they meet, always thinking they are the "one".  Either that, or they just find somebody and marry them thinking there is no one better and accepting they are less than perfect.  As if it's good enough and there's no way to do any better.  Then eventually they do get fed up and just give up and walk out.
   
   I realize that everyone is less than perfect, but that is no reason to settle for the worst and accept unacceptable behavior.  I believe if you want to find the right person, you should wait for God to send them to you.

   Divorce, is the most abominable Act, a Human can Perform ...
   
   The High Rate of Divorces in the US, say around 30% is because of the the Partners Failing one another ...
   It is mostly in the Ideal, becoming Real ... in a Situation ... where Sex, instead of being Considered the means of Procreation, is calculated in Orgasms ...
   
   Economics can also contribute ... so can the Joneses ... but In Element, its Physical Incompatibilities, Translated, as Emotional Incompatibilities ... which are the main Cause of all this Divorcing in a Media-Hypes Infested US Society.
   
   A marriage needs the Proper Attitude, based in a Correct Understanding of the Purpose, of Marriage ... by the Partners in Marriage ... in any Lawful Marriage ... Both have to Understand, that the Purpose of Marriage, is not purely sex, fame, or Money ...
   
   That the Contract of Marriage, is within a much higher Purpose ... Man and Woman ... Marry, to Raise good kids, Live a good Life ...  till death does them apart.
   
   Now such a Contract, is essentially a matter of Belief ... and already there is a clamor ... that I am using the HubPages to Promote my Islamic Belief ...
   
   For Marriage, in my Belief [ I am married for 40 years now ] is not the signing a Register, at the Registrars, when drunk ... in Las Vegas
   
   So I have Quoted The Word of Allah ... That, Divorce, is the most Abominable Act, a human can Perform ...

   Life is different than it was back in the days, there are so many options in living and what you want in life. I think many people compare lives to what they see on T.V.  with reality shows and the crazy dramas where its considered exciting to be career oriented, independent, and step over anyone that gets in the way of your happiness.

   Because,in the us it is a liberated countries .., Mostly love is not the priorities..people are being busy there to earn more than to have more times in family as well in getting into very intact relationship.

   In my opinion, based on personal experience, the divorce rate in the U.S. is so high because of our tendency towards instant gratification.  Most people in the present day United States have lost their capacity for patience.  This not only explains the problem of divorce, but also the ungodly credit debt we now face.  The desire for instant gratification causes people to get married before they are ready for various reasons: i.e. the two people don't want to wait, unplanned pregnancy, or the fear the one of the partners will leave if the marriage doesn't happen.  Thus, people enter marriage before they are ready or they even know the person they are marrying very well.  This commonly leads to divorce.
        Divorce also occurs because people don't want to put in the effort to work through problems.  Instant gratification demands that the problem be solved immediately or the whole relationship has to be scrapped.  Hardly anyone anymore wants to fight through the tough times that inevitably face any marriage.  It is far easier to divorce in this drive-thru society than it is to discover the root of the problem and solve it, thus strengthening the bonds of marriage and being able to face future problems with less difficulty.

   Divorce is high in western capitalist countries. Not just US. Perhaps this commonality lends the thought that the system is flawed. In old times it worked due to dependency. Women couldn't vote or work until WWI. When it became necessary. But something changed. All the hard men died, and the women started to take advantage of the more softer hearted blokes to get their own ways due to greed! We therefore became more and more lost. And now we're in this state! )grin!
