   I think both because moving away even with the best will of writing it is not the same as seeing them all the time. Losing touch can be very hurtful.

   losing touch , life gets in the way too much and friends drift away. With social networks it makes it easier to stay in contact with your friends . I have re-connected with friends from high school and even from my home town.

   Both are bad but when a good friend deliberately moves away it makes the experience worse. Moving away of a friend leaves a bitter impact on the present and future too but simply losing touch at the moment always keeps the hope alive of meeting the friend some day.

   As the previous Hubber says it both really. When you have a good friend and you share so many wonderful things together. Learning from each other and most of all being like a sister you never had.  When they move away it is a lose of there existence, but the heart is always there.  However remember all of the good time you have spend together.  And always keep in touch through the phone.  Set a time to call each other. When you're good friends and true at heart you will never lose touch.

   losing touch is worse i think ... i've lost touch with a lot of good friends... it's never the same though when they or we move away. never the same.

   moves away...losing touch is okay...you can catch up later and if u were really good buddies even few minutes will make up for those days/months/years..
   when a friend deliberately moves away nothing as hurtful......
