Who is up for meeting fellow Hubbers?
Anyone near Southern California want to get together and chat about writing? A fellow Hubber suggested we have a meetup with like minds rather than go online and sift through the riff raff. Any suggestions are more than welcome!
I'm always up to meet new people. I like discourses and friendly discussion.
Yes i like to mix-and-mangle with knowledge, and those with like thoughts of intellect.
Not the mind nor the brain......but the intellect of spirit. The world don't know all there is to know about our existence......until now. Both CELESTIAL and TERRESTRIAL.
There is more to the peanut....than just the peanut.
I thought about having a local meetup here in SoCal as well and think it is a good idea. I know it has been done in the past at several locations. There was a thread called "Announcing HubPages Social Meetups" in 'The Hubber's Hangout" in the forums section. You can find it here:

It doesn't look like there has been much recent activity there but that doesn't mean we can't get something going!
I wanted to meet these people. My problem is how...I'm overseas. Most of the hubbers I know are from the US, I'm here in the Philippines. However, I'm hoping to meet other hubbers locally as well
Wow..I would love to meet other hubbers....that would be awesome..debbie
OK, so I checked the link (thanks, Poetic Fool), and apparently, there isn't a meetup for Hubbers in Southern California (at least around my neck of the woods). Here is the link:

What I could do is start one for a local city (I'm near Oceanside/Carlsbad/San Clemente). After the meetup group is established, we could set a date and location to share coffee or wine in a suitable meeting place.
Anyone who would like to meet other Hubbers in other locations can do the same (but check if your city/nearby town has a meetup group first).
Personally, I would love to have a bonfire at the beach close by and have great discussions-- maybe closer to summer (weather permitting).
Any thoughts?
As you know, I would enjoy that. You know all the best restaurants in your area so I'll take your recommendation. If Phil knows how to cook Texas BBQ I'm definitely in. =
Wonderful1 - I highly recommend you make a forum post, so a conversation can ensue. It's a great idea!
Great idea- my friend has a blog group that meets once a month at a different restaurant (houston, texas) and it is a great way to meet new people!
I would like to meet some. How I wish live somewhere in California.

If you live anywhere from New York City to Nassau or Suffolk on Long Island, come join us on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Lake Grove at the Whole Foods Market. Whole Foods has an area with tables where we can gather...

Hi fellow Hubbers! I've been hubbing here at HubPages since year 2010 and I just can't believe that I haven't earn anything from my published articles since then, not a single cent! There's obviously something wrong. Any ideas? Please help! Thanks.

I have seen mixed messages as to whether or not this is legal. Please help me sort this out. Thanks.

I would like to suggest a change in the voting system on hubs.I would like for it to remain possible to vote up another's hub, but I'd like to see the ability of voting it down removed. Some people are petty and childish, I feel that the ability to afflict damage on anothers work via negative...
