    Is it possible to lose the ability to love?

    Is there ever a point at which you've been burned, or betrayed too often, that you never get it back again?

    No. It is not possible. It is possible to not feel in love with a person and still love that person but love does not have to be love for another person. It can be an animal, a cause, humanity in general, work. As long as you know the difference, between being in love and loving, then you will know you cannot lose it.

    Of course not! Love is always out their it will come to you, don't ever think you won't be able to love!

    An interesting question. I do hope not. People can get worn down by life at times, and love may seem a million miles away. The possibility is always there though in my view.

    I don't think you can lose something as powerful as what is known as "Love".  You can give up on it or maybe you have allowed whatever bums you've encountered to make you believe they same as they do.  Don't believe the hype!
