What problems can arise after a couple moves in together? How do you prevent it from happening?
I was actually planning to write a hub about this because I know moving in together can have its problems at times. What I think you should is think about everything before you do it. Talk through your issues and worries about moving in together. When you move in just stay as strong of a couple as you can, after a while everything will be fine. You really need to work together, just talk it out. Things might be hard in the beginning or the middle but in the end you will be really happy. Relationships are all about communication and having to give up some things but that is okay because it will be worth it. I hope this helped some. I wish you good luck Turtlewoman!
If this is the guy that you love, I'd say get married. I see lots of issues arise in relationships when people live together because they always have an "out" in the back of their mind. Things will get hard as relationships have ups and downs--especially when you live together and have to deal with the quirks and different preferences. For me, the commitment of marriage has seen me through some tough spots--as emotions can sometimes take over (and in a negative way). Clear, consistent, communication and laying a foundation of agreement for how to handle conflicts is helpful, too. Each couple is unique so each needs to find their own way to love each other, respect each other, and to know where they can bend and what will make them break. Best to you!
