    What would you tell someone that is "just settling" in their relationship?

    That depends on a lot of different factors involved. Is this person treating my friend right? Are they happy? Are they in love? Is the person that my friend is settling for abusive in any way? etc. The best thing to do is to let your friend reach that conclusion on their own. If my friend were to ask me what I thought I would be courteous and present my feelings to them in a nice way.

    I think this would depend on whether it was your friend who thought she was "just settling" or whether you thought that.

    Different people have different tastes...
