What was your most embarassing moment?
What is the most embarassing thing that happened to you as of late? Did you play it off or just let it happen? Were there any witnesses?
I went up to a reader after a public reading and said in front of about a dozen people: "That was an amazing story--when I first read it I thought it had been written by a woman. You really capture the female voice."
To which the reader replied: "I am a woman. See!" Pushing her chest forward.
In my defense she was dressed in pants, had short hair and a jacket on during the reading. Also a husky, androgenous voice. But I still had to make a quick exit.
lol thats pretty embarassing at least you didn't offend the not so pregnant pregnant looking lady.
I had an encounter with a non-pregnant looking pregnant lady. I should have known better to make assumptions (lol). I go into a whole spill about how bad pregnancy does your body and how you should get a handicapped sticker for 9 months, etc. Blah blah blah. Then, I say so when are you due? She said, "I'm not pregnant my child is 7. I wanted to evaporate into thin air. I tried to play it off by saying yeah I understand that one, but my foot was stuck too far down my throat.
I almost did that one too, but in reverse. I was sure this girl was pregnant but I just said things like "So what are your plans this summer?" She totally toyed with me for like 2 weeks until finally, she just said "Yeah, I'm pregnant."
Lol, I also had an incident with an older lady she said she needed to lose baby weight and her baby was 39, thought to myself too late. lol. I'm bad.
I was at work and I saw this cute new cashier and we made I contact that lasted forever then all of a sudden I tripped over the mobile cart. I played it off by pretending to tie my shoe.

So just out of curiosity, what are some of your weird/ funniest/ craziest moments at work?Mine once was a man named fireman tom who grabbed my butt and said how much he liked to touch pregnant people when I was 5 months pregnant. I was working as a sales associate at the time.

Are good writers always good readers?Every writer I have known has been a pretty avid reader. Do you think that being a reader is necessary to being a good writer?

It happened only once, honest. Is that it! I hadn't had any for two months, footbal injury (leg).
