Do you believe in soulmates? I do, because I married mine. But what is a soulmate? Can you put it into words?

Good point. When you think about it, it is amazing to have two people feel those same things about each other. I wonder if it's possible to feel that someone is your soulmate, but they don't feel the same way back? That would be sad...
g-girl11, I agree with you it is sad when love isn't mutual. Whenever a person (wants) their mate to "commit". I always ask: Why would you want to marry someone who doesn't want to marry you? Clearly they aren't your soulmate!
dashingscorpio, agreed, completely.
I've always loved this passage. And when I think about it, I am lucky to have this love with my husband. We may not be perfect, but our foundation is built on these principles.
Yes. It is so important to feel that you are understood, and loved unconditionally. It is a rare thing, and should be treasured.
I like this answer. Especially about the unspoken times.
connorj, well-thought and well-put. It seems some know their soulmate "instantly" but I agree that a true soulmate must stand the test of time.
I love your answer. I think the unconditional love part is key. My husband truly loves me unconditionally and that is such a gift.
