   Why do some people leave getting married until one of them is terminally ill?
   
   I see many magazine headlines of stories where couples who have been together years marry at the last minute. Why do you think that is?

   A shrinking window of opportunity spurs people to action in surprising ways. There might be guilt involved, maybe a person is thinking there is money to be inherited, and it would only be a short term stint, afterall.  There are those who shamefully marry for other things besides love.

   I know someone who married their partner when he only had a few weeks left.  I think they truly loved each other, and wanted to go through that symbolic gesture to somehow codify their love for one another.  I don't think there was any financial motivation or anything other than really wanting to make each other happy in his final days.

   Love is always a mystery to many. When it comes, your heart will feel it. It is hard to explain but when it is there, you will know it.
   
   Love is like a bond that ties two persons together. It is love that we live our lives for. When I married my wife, we are bonded. When we have children, we have another bond as father and mother.

   It shows their true love for each other.From their act we also learn a lesson that marriage is a perfect institution and everybody wants to enter into it sooner or later.

   Probably two reasons.
   First, something potential and precious always residing in mind but never being realized is aroused when it is disappearing forever, which wakens "lovers" at the last minute;
   Second, have to out of some realities or needs or ethics.
   Sad, anyway!!!

   I think it's because they do not see the importance of life and family until they are faced with death, after which they begin to appreciate the things they have taken for granted.

   Goodness, I think this is the most challenging question I have read so far...
   I have to confess that I do not know how to answer this question..so I will just write a possibility...
   
   Perhaps, confronted with his or her own mortality, the person who is terminally ill suddenly decided to marry to "make it legal"...or perhaps, the person who would be left behind asked it of the person who is dying..
   
   I am just guessing...

      It is a difficult question, msorensson, which I find hard to understand, so thank you for joining in here. I think some people consider the financial cost of a wedding and put it off, then realise it does matter to them.

   I think it is because they want to show their love for one another in a way which they never got around to doing.  (Some people do not marry because they do not want to mess up a good thing. Marriage does change some relationships.  take off riage and what do you have.)

      Thanks for the response. That's really what has me curious, though. Many have chosen not to marry previously. I guess their views change when circumstances change.

    Couples who don't marry and just live together for years choose to be together for not having a commitment but when they marry at the last minute, they don't want to die with the feeling of being alone

    When you are in love there are different phases that comes your way.where there is true love there are bright chances of problems rolling down to them one after the other.On the other hand some people look for good opportunities until they tie the knots with the person who was waiting for them for years apart from which they have no other option.So some get married late because before they reach this destination they fight all the odds and bring even things in the life,the other side always waits for the better opportunity.
