Well, first off, I am confident that you will find an amazing guy - so do not stress if it takes a little while or you have to put up with a few poor matches before finding the right one.
That being said, everything comes down to honesty. Think about my Flawless Way to Meet Women article, I talk about the need to be completely honest - even if it is just telling the girl that you gave her a piece of chocolate because you thought she was cute.
Relationships are always hard - even harder if honesty is not a part of them. If he is not being honest with you about something, it's probably a good idea to move on. Additionally, can he trust you to be honest about how you are feeling and what you are thinking? I know many women who play too hard to get and the guy eventually moves on.
Putting yourself out there can be awkward, but it certainly removes the questioning. Although I am not recommending this for everyone, I simply ask the questions that get the real answers. Several years back I started talking with a girl who I had dated previously. She was flirting and leading me on in her own, charming way. I was not interested in flirting, so, after several conversations, I asked her what her intentions were. She could not say that she was interested - so I moved on.
It wasn't easy. It was a bit awkward. But now I am dating a far more amazing woman who I would have never met if things hadn't both started and ended with this other girl. In the end, everything seems to work out.
To wrap up this ridiculously long answer (much longer than intended), if you are a Christian, now is the best time to have faith in God. Be honest to yourself, be honest to your morals, and be honest to God, and everything will work out in the end. Read Romans 8:28. Good luck!
