That's the key...keeping it simple.
Caring less about what other people think is very liberating, although it might seem arrogant to some folks. It took me 40 years to figure out that I'm important too! I wish you much luck!
Debbie, "I would like to keep my mouth shut more often"! Ah! I had this same goal in 1993 and then subsequently postponed it for implementation to 2093!
Mr. Georgie: your comment is a nice addition for a nice answer.
Good luck in accomplishing these things. If you can learn to not let what others say bother you...then maybe you can say much less. I have done pretty well myself about not worrying about what others say.
Learning to keep my mouth shut more often, and care less about what others think are two additional qualities I'd like to obtain in 2013 as well. This was a great post!
Hey...good job, Georgie. You go girl!!! :0)
Great Job, anyway I convince you that you can.
"Whatever you believe you can or cannot, you are correct."
Thanks CJ & Taleb. It's been an interesting journey, and sometimes I have to pretend I'm The Little Engine That Could, but it's worth it! :)
God Bless you & your time.
tnvrstar, I would like to be less friendly and less naive. I get myself in trouble by assuming that others want my friendship and that I can trust them. I hope you see success in becoming more friendly.
The fact that you realize the need for these changes means a lot.
Good luck in accomplishing this...maybe you can write a hub on this.
Cordelia, I struggle with the same thing. 3 days ago at McDonalds there was only one register open at lunchtime. When I suggested they open another register the manager suggested I go eat elsewhere! Unbelievable.
Believe me, I know what you mean, customer service is not what it used to be, some people just don't know how to be polite and helpful. Please be patient though because it will save you a lot of stress, that person really needs a better attitude.
I think that you have to define your goals more clearly to achieve better.
J, what type of work do you do? Have you ever thought of earning a degree in Human Services? That would be right up your alley. I teach online for Liberty University in their Masters program in Human Services. Sounds like you have what it takes!
I would love to get my masters, but I am self employed and would find it impossible to find the time. Thank you for your kind words. Merry Christmas!
What a kind plan you have, by the way you can make time for anything if you have passion.
Hope all the best for you.
