This is something that a teacher told me for many years and still suprises me. Is this something people really think?

Haha! You're talking about muscles. What about brains? Just because you ca lift a ton of bricks - how can you use that to tell me you're stronger when it comes to real life issues.
In general men have more control over their emotions and have more will power because they have had more practice. Women are ruled by their emotions more often. They are more likely to temporarily become non functional.
I hear ya. We are more emotional. But, showing emotions is not a sign of weakness either.
Being strong enough to be willing to express emotions rather than suppress those that aren't anger is the thing that makes women the stronger sex.
As the saying goes, " a woman's work is never done." We are so adept at juggling and accomplishing tasks that most men don't even notice . I've never met a man who can keep up in this way. In many cases, women lay the groundwork for a man's success.
Very well said.
The Almighty doesn't just feel women are the weaker sex...He knows it and I seriously doubt He suffers from an inferiority complex or wants to mislead billions of people.
I can respect it, but I totally disagree with your opinion. As you said, you see "weak minded men and strong willed women." Wrong choice of words perhaps?
No. It just means that many men have given up their God-given authority and have become subservient. Instead of leading...they are following after women like trained little lap dogs. Being a strong-willed or stiff-necked woman is not a good thing.
I think that being a strong-willed or stiff-necked man or woman is not a good thing. But, the great book's words can be used to bolster anyone's opinion. That does not prove there is a weaker sex, strength is easily seen in either and both.
Forgive me Express 10...if I have to choose between your biased, self serving opinion and the Almighty's word...He wins and you lose...hands down. Sorry.
The one who is quite biased and stiff necked appears to be you. I said nothing to you, simply answered a question and you commented. If you disagree, do so respectfully. Go off and actually learn from your Bible!
CJ - I agree with Express. Respectfully disagreeing will get you and your God further than being disrespectful. No one is disrespecting you, why must you disrespect them?? I don't mean agree with them...I mean disagree with respect.
Renee: Just so you know...the greatest person I had ever known was my grandmother. She had a rock-solid character and she had a powerful walk with the Almighty. Anyone who walks that closely with God is going to be strong, regardless of their gender.
Michael...forgive me while I vomit.
Cj - no one is being disrespectful about yr opinion. There is no need for that from you either
Any decent man should take great offense to this comment.
I agree with MichaelJohnMele and JLPark's observations.
Express 10: Of course you agree with those who back your play and echo your sentiments. You have a vested interest in seeing it this way. You have expressed your opinion and although I think it is errant...it is your constitutional right to be wrong.
@CJ Sledgehammer I'm not saying that all men are weak, or that there aren't strong-willed men out there who could hang with the best of them...but when it comes right down to it, I do believe that women are the stronger sex.
Men and women are equal? Since when? I think comparing men and women are like comparing apples and oranges. Women fail when acting like men and a man is a poor excuse for a woman. Both, when acting like God intended, complement each other perfectly.
Like god intended? So god created social patterns that changes all the time? Intresting. I find it only natural that we dont act like we did for 100-300 years ago.
You think we act differently?
Thanks for your comments. Interesting you believe that the world has been around 10,000 years. Given those who believe as you do so fervently in God believe its only 6,000.
Perhaps you missed a zero or three and u believe in evolution? Smiles
In order to believe that the earth is that young one would have to read the Bible uncritically . Micro evolution is observable and true, I don't know any Christians who would argue against this.
If you reread my comment more carefully, you will find that I never made a claim as to how old the earth may be, but it's probably not very old. My statement reflected my best guess on how long humans may have been here, based upon Biblical sources.
I want to clarify that my comment was in response to jlpark
Exactly and if you believe Genesis, Adam and Eve were created AFTER the creation of Earth. Which is COMMONLY spoken of by Christians as 6000yrs. I'm agnostic, believe in Evolution so no need to convince me. I'm merely repeating info Christians give.
That is not a number a Christian would come up with if they were seriously studying their Bibles. As a Christian I think that it is ridiculous. As I said, I have never heard any Christian propose these things as truth. Generalizing.
Calynbana - then you're speaking with more intelligent Christians than I do! (aside from friends!). I just don't think either sex is weaker, nor designed that way by God or... But your response gave me an idea for a question, thanks!
So, Christina, I would love to hear what you and your "serious" Christian friends have to say about creation with special emphasis on how long humans have been here...Biblically speaking (of course).
Jacqui: You are free to believe whatever you like
CJ - As are you.
I'd like to hear what Calybana has to say to...in a curious way really.
It will be interesting to see what Christina comes up with, taking into account I have studied the Bible and evolution for over 30 years. One cannot get (much) more serious than that.
There is a commenter on my question in regards to whether one can believe in Creation and Micro-Evolution who is both Christian and a scientist - he had some interesting comments on Creation and time of human existence that makes sense to me even!
Well said - weak-minded men and strong-willed women - I like this phrase :-)
