   Destroy all Evil
   
   If you could completely get rid of all evil(your own definition such as poverty,murder,child slavery etc.) in the world by killing one innocent child would you do it?

   I guess that would be like going back in time to kill Hitler as a child not sure if I could. People have killedother humans bc of wars over oil and power but if meant to actually save humanity no one would have the guts. We can all say we will give our lives to save a child just one. But what about saving humanity by killing just one we couldnt do it.

      I agree that most of us couldn't do it. The interesting thing is that when I was practicing briefly during my attorney days almost everyone said they would do it in a heartbeat! Interesting and much appreciated responses:).

   Not my place. This sounds almost like the ending scenes in "storm of the century". God will destroy all evil.  Besides, the idea of it is still murder.  And if some whacko actually even considers this.....Killing a child to destroy all the evil in the world would NOT destroy all the evil in the world, because the "murderer" of the child would still live. Murder is evil, contradicts God's character.

      It is a purely philosophical question because there isn't a real option to end all evil in the world. I agree that it is still murder and would never do it even if it would end all evil. However, a group of lawyers I asked said they would.

      We don't really have the power to get rid of all the evil in the world but it's interesting to think about how far people would go if we did.

   NO I would never do it, I cry if I run over a squirrel.
   
   Someone mentioned the  torture of Jesus  , however that is justified in Gods eyes. he did it to save the world however he also predicts the future and he knew that Jesus would raise from the dead and take care of all our needs.
   
   Whenever God does anything its justified, he doesnt say oops I made a mistake, there is always a reason for what he does and he does not need our permission.
   
   Back to your question, I think that in time God is going to destroy all evil and I think very soon. He may not be pouring out his wrath for end time right now, however he is pouring out his wrath to sinners.
   
   I think if this was the solution to end evil in the world, most would live with evil as we seem to be doingso now. Then the next question would be.........whose child who would go that far and the answer would be that no DECENT  parents would go that far.

      Thanks for that insightful answer Rayne123. Even if it wasn't my own child I could never do it but the majority of the lawyers I used to work for said that theywould in order to completely eliminate evil so these answers restore my faith in humanity.
