This is a good question. Would be interested to read all the answers.
I will start by saying, everyone has good attributes and not so good ones (flaws), I believe that when you are young (pre teen, teens and older adults 20"s) you may want what others have , this is jealousy more than envious However this is insecurity. We were all like this at one point in our lives.
Being older I now try to be happy with what I have and do not really envy anyone. I think health is the main thing, and love.
If young ones are envious of anyone then it just screams insecurity problems and that is not a healthy stand on the issue.
Dont get me wrong, I look at pictures and wish I had the thickness of the hair some have (however in todays world, most of it is hair extensions or wigs) back in my day or even the day of Jesus all the girls had beautiful long natural hair. that I would give anything to have.
I would hope that no really thinks they have something that would be envious to anyone. The magazines do a great job at taking our children and leaving them to believe they should be envious enough. They are looking at photo shopped/edited girls/guys and they need to be educated on this.
So with that said, anyone that has self confidence to walk around and know they are the best they can be is the most important factor in a young ones life. Those are the ones that should be praised as they are the good role models to all.
I know there will be those that still think to be beautiful and sexy is what counts however beautiful and sexy starts with confidence and the rest falls in place.
What is sexy to someone may not be to someone else. Every one is different.
WE need to instill this into all young people today, so they may start with a fresh open mind that enables them to love the way they look no matter who says what or does what.
insecurities lead to a lot of negativity such as bullying.
Anyway this is my opinion
