"Behind every successful man there stands a woman". Could you please comment on this?
A man who knows she is home covering his back has the freedom to concentrate on his career. She'll see to everything else from rearing children to sending out Birthday greetings to his parents.
It's great if couples really does work as a team to achieve their dreams. Nevertheless it's clear when this phrase was coined it did not include same sex couples.
We also can't deny there are some very successful men who had no wife, girlfriend, or "special someone" while they made their fortunes.
It makes one wonder if it was a (woman) who came up with this phrase to encourage marriage proposals! :-)
It is true. Men who wants to be successful needs a good women or a good partner to rely on ech other needs. It is wonderful to be a success. Men work many hours , and it is not easy to be both ways. Communications is the key to success.
Yep I'd agree & I'd say at first it's his mother, she brought him into the world & that bond takes a lot of breaking..Then he'd be driven by the love of doing whatever he's doing, & we know he loves it because he's successful..He's bound to meet potential partners along the way male or female, because he's doing what he loves doing & is successful..Then he falls in love with his partner, & is then mainly driven by the love for his partner..At the same time though he still has a love for what he's doing work wise, whether or not that's a false love for the money or the real love of doing the work..So if his lover leaves him he doesn't go back to being single & miserable, because he still has his love for his work..All along no matter what, there is only one woman usually that he can 100% trust, & that would be his mother so now I've confused my self!lol..So be fair I'm gonna say that his mother is the only one he knows for sure will always be there for him, & only he can end that love by doing something seriously bad..But once in a loving relationship he receives a different deeper level of love/connection, & so is spurred on even further to even more success....It is a saying that us oil refinery contractors said often, "behind every successful man there's a woman", (& she's usually nagging him!lol)....No, we used to say & i know this is true, that: "we do every thing for the love of another" or "all for the love of another man's daughter"..I don't know if there only British sayings or not, but quite interesting......Where would we be without our girlfriends or wife's?,,,,,,that's right,,,,,,,,, down the Bar with our mates!lol. :-)
By the way i see it the same for women, a successful woman does what she loves first..Then a guy has to really be something, to gain some of her time coz she's so busy..I am curious of who women usually respect more, their mother or father.
I see you got confuse. Sometimes I get confuse too.I know . It is funny. I believe that your mother most be first to take out for anything fun. Regardless, she does not help . She is always there like a health insurance to fix any wrong doing.
Probably the most general way to answer this question is to say that marriage is very simply the most important decision anyone will ever make in their entire life. A marriage can literally mean the difference between success and happiness or failure and despair in one's life.
Remember Mr. Oldempresario. Parthers most be equal to succeed, or they need to have the same dreams. They have to love each other a lot. Or they need to be ambitious in their business.

What makes some people afraid of success? Some people remain in the same dead-end job for years, refusing to branch out or do anything to improve themselves. Are they satisfied with their lot in life or are they simply afraid of leaving their comfort zone?

Before anyone else opens up a forum about this, and I know the debate is still going on. Who do you think won this year's final presidential debate of this year?
