In my case it is simply love. Love is my crankshaft, if you will. Love drives my daily dog-walks on our local trails and to Starbucks (well maybe the love-fuel is coffee for the Starbucks circuit). Love creates my favorable climate for college instruct especially with my class sizes of approximately 25 learners. Love of the positive effects of psychology to improve lives drives my completion of psychological evaluations. Love of public speaking at conferences about my authoring of a teaching and learning theory enables me to travel world-wide and see marvelous people and places. Love of ice hockey has enabled me to continue to play my sport of choice for 50 years. Love of family and their love for me has solidified our family for 30 odd years. Most importantly, love of God has placed everything into proper perspective and I believe has provided the framework for all of this to happen.
