   What are your thoughts on women wearing men's fragrances?
   
   Growing up, I always wanted to wear a men's fragrance. However, when I told my dad this, he freaked out. Now that I am older, I have recently started wearing a fragrance made for men. Some people in my life understand my desire or don't care either, others think it is very weird. What do you think? Please only respectful responses.

   I don't think it should matter at all. What scents we find pleasing has nothing to do with gender, some men really enjoy floral scents...and there's nothing wrong with that either. It's all stupid marketing.

   I wear men's fragrances.  It's cleaner and fresher.  My favorite is Lauren's Polo.  I also wear Chaps and Paco Rabanne.  I also like Joop and Safari.  It really does not matter if a woman wears men's fragrances.

      Thanks for your response! So glad that you like to wear men's fragrances, too. I agree it doesn't matter. My boyfriend doesn't care, either. I was just surprised that my dad and brother really disliked the idea.

   such women are cool by nature....there is nothing wrong if she likes mens perfume....perfumes are for all...it just depends on what kind of perfume one likes...

   I don't think it matters and I'm not sure most people would even know the difference if you didn't tell them, though I'm not a big perfume/cologne fan, I've only ever found one I've liked enough to buy and it was discontinued.
   
   I sometimes wear my husband's deodorant as I'm notorious for leaving mine in weird places and not being able to find it when I'm in a rush to leave, and I think his deodorant smells way better than mine anyway!  I'm not really into light floral scents.

      Thanks for your response. I'm very into scents myself. I own 6 or 7 different body sprays. But I agree with you, I don't think it matters either. I just thought it was interesting how strong a reaction my male relatives had to the idea of it.

   Unsure if I have experienced that. I have a small social world. Oddly, maybe for me is some of both men and women fragrances cause me to sneeze. Do any others experience that?
   
   I find switching gender fragrances to be interesting. For the sociologically minded it would make a great experiment. I would have used that when studying sociology.
   
   Myself as a man I would not wear a woman's fragrance. I cannot pin down why other than my age grouping ( 55 - 64) with acceptance. Frankly, I very seldom wear a cologne to begin with. Again, I have a narrow social window.

   Let me first state it should and indeed does not matter; however, at my college I became aquainted with a woman who loved to wear the aroma of A cologne simply called Boss. We became better friends and she soon confided with me that she was a hardcore lesbian. I was not disturbed by her confession because I did not see her as a potential sexual partner. You see, I really understood our friendship was based on our banter quite similar to what I prized with my hockey friends.
   After awhile I benefitted from her knowledge of eroticism and the many tips she provided for my benefit and my girlfriend. Jan was also quite manipulative with her women and seemed to prefer submissive women who she could manipulate and season to her benefit. Perhaps there was some irony in the choice of her favorite cologne, Boss...

      Thanks for your response and the story. I found it scintillating. I'm not a lesbian, but the men's fragrance I wear does make me feel powerful and very sexy (kind of relating to your story).
