Choosing the "right mate"!
People often say relationships are "hard work". However in reality the so called "hard work" is in finding the "right mate".
The goal is to be with someone who shares your same values, wants the same things for the relationship that you do, (naturally agrees) with you on how to obtain those things, and last but not least have a (mutual depth) of love and desire for one another.
Compatibility trumps compromise!
We're either "growing together" or "growing apart". Honest communication is the "GPS" to let us know which one it is.
Like attracts like and opposites attract divorce attorneys!
No amount of "work" or "communication" can overcome being with someone who simply does NOT want what (you) want.
Once you find someone you're naturally compatible with the so called "work" is nothing more than maintenance or a "labor of love".
It's the nurturing of something (you wanted).
A gardener doesn't complain about digging in dirt, planting seeds, watering, pulling weeds, and taking precautions to protect a garden from pests. They do it because they love having a beautiful garden.
While someone with no interest in having a garden may call it "hard work" the gardener sees it as a "labor love".
The reward is in doing the work to maintain what (they) wanted.
